If you were interested in picking up Forza Horizon 4 before it's delisting, there's only like 2-3 days left.
Isn't broken on PC now?
Not that I'm aware of? I bought the Steam version back when they originally announced the delisting and have done most everything and don't recall running into any issues. It might be something that's system-specific, though.
Now I'm just at the point I'm collecting as many cars as possible. I'm currently at 635/752, though there are 6 I can never get because they delisted the dlc for them early.
I snagged em because some of my earliest memories are of watching my brother play them and messing around the map editors, and hey who knows I may want to relive that someday without paying Blizzard for a slapdash adaptation. I don't think they're really gonna "hold up" though
Trying to go back to Warcraft 1 after even Starcraft was a nightmare. IIRC, there's no number groups and you can't select more than four units at at time.
units would also just stand there when attacked by a ranged unit so you could be trying to build your base and lose your 3 grunts to an archer while not watching. game was horribly imbalanced too, I remember beating the campaign by summoning a demon and having it solo the entire map
Half life alyx was a single player game exclusive to fucking vr
I dunno it they really care how much of an impact hl3 has in their bottom line
Most of their revenue comes from their cut of sales on steam after all, they have more freedom than most devs to create a game free of micro transactions and live service stuff
If they ever make one I guess it'll be more of a prestige single player game like your big Sony exclusives
I honestly think the only reason for Valve to keep making games is for the positive PR. Make high quality games, make them affordable, put them on your storefront and people will forget you're a monoploy allowing AI generated garbage and actively facilitating marketplace scams.
My friend is working on a roguelike game you can play if you want to. (It has free demo)
Ohh yeah now I remember trying to go back to WC1 like.... decades ago now and feeling like there was just no way. 2 is where things started getting good
Yet even going back to WC3 for lan parties can be an exercise in the power of nostalgia glasses and QoL improvements (or lack thereof).
WarCraft 1 was like... the second-ever RTS, right? I don't quite remember. I think it was like Dune II -> WarCraft 1 -> Command & Conquer?
The WarCraft 2 demo, installed on a family friend's computer, is 100% the reason I turned from a console game-player to a PC game-player, literally in a single evening. I remember that evening, alternating between the WC2 demo and the Quake shareware. I remember when my dad and I went to a Toys'R'Us to buy a physical copy of WarCraft 2.
The reason I started playing WoW was entirely because I wanted to be able to visit all of the places whose names were said in a portentous voice during the WC2 mission briefings.

Honestly the pathfinding in pretty much all of their games prior to Starcraft 2 kinda kills things for me.
Like even in Warcraft 3 unit will just run into like... some trees or a small patch of rocks and get themselves stuck. You have to babysit everything to just move your basic mobs around.
It's been pretty much confirmed by files in Steam and SteamVR updates over the past few months that Valve is working on SOMETHING Half-Life related, known as "HLX" internally. There's been lots of assets, code, etc. included in various files for VR stuff, Counter-Strike 2, Steam, and others that mention it.
Do I think it will actually be revealed tonight? Nope. BUT, HL: Alyx was originally supposed to be revealed at the Game Awards before it got leaked and Valve announced it early. There's a possibility that maybe they feel like they owe TGA something...
New card cosmetics featuring characters from Enter the Gungeon, Warframe, 1000xRESIST, Divinity: Original Sin 2, Shovel Knight (shocked it took this long), Potion Craft, Cult of the Lamb, and Don't Starve out today
(also this is the best role of Ben Starr's career)

I feel like an old man here, but this isn't anything new. I spent over a decade devouring any snippet of news about Half-Life and Valve was constantly leaving little development breadcrumbs in their source files for both Ep3 specifically and Half-Life in general all the time.

There is a fun documentary (think it’s on YouTube) with the C&C team. They had a section on all the challenges around pathfinding with what hardware was available back then.

Also as everyone knows the real reason why there was never a 3 is because Gordon died at the end of Episode 2 and they couldn't figure out a way to revive him.
That's why in the always online looter shooter the player characters are called "Freemen" as a tribute to Gordon.

This makes sense, there's no way an actual Half-Life 3 can measure up to all the fantasies people have dreamed up, so might as well just skip to Half-Life 10.
Oh, unless they're following the Mega Man model, and HLX will involve Gordon Freeman X going around fighting the Mavericks.

I just watched it a few days ago, it was pretty cool. The whole series has some gems in it; I really liked the one on Prince of Persia, where Jordan Mechner was talking about the process of rotoscoping his brother to create animations for the Prince, using 1980s home video technology.
Honestly, the Indiana Jones game is the best Indy story since the OG's. I'd rank it Last Crusade, Raiders, Big Circle, Temple of Doom, Crystal Skull, and Dial but that's because I haven't seen Dial yet so I actually don't know if it's good or not.

Just went through last night. I know there's stuff I missed but yeah get use to the scraping sound cause of the bad jumps.
Also I had a bug with the bell puzzle cause it sounded like it stopped ringing well before I got to the second bell when it was actually still going.
h...hooray...?

you needed roads to place buildings
also you could win pretty much any CPU battle by building staggered walls that the AI couldn't path around
