Holy crap my band played a show in grat's pass last year at the comatorium. that place sucked donkey balls, and my band mate got cut off at the gas station.
Welcome to the life of Grants Pass, aye. I can't wait to get out of here, gonna end up in Portland or Seattle (well Seattle looks freaking awesome now) soon I hope.

At least there was one other person from the east coast in this thread Unfortunately I'm in Richmond,VA so I'm not close.
Me, my wife and 5 of my friends came from the Philly area.
Perhaps there can be an east coast event for us (us meaning east coasters) to meet up at.
There are a few events on the East Coast but none of them really compare to PAX.
Maybe we can take a bad event and just make it better by making it an east coast PA gathering spot. I'm not 100% certain what we could do at such an event but some quick ideas include the following:
1. PA(X) fan meet-up (dinner, movie etc)
2. PA(X) fan invade tournaments at event. (In a nice way, I just mean compete, not overrun and ruin.)
3. Host evening activities in hotel room (Friendly console, handheld playing)
4. Watch PAX '07 DVD (assuming it is released by then).
Just some quick thoughts, nothing amazing, but I imagine if more brains are put into the planning and I spend more than 5 minutes thinking about it, I'm sure a good event and fun activities can be arranged.
I think those are all good ideas Phanman; sometimes keeping it simple is the way to go. You can always change stuff on the fly later but it would just be cool to get some east coasters together.
Issaquah, WA here. It's just east of Bellevue. I'll be up at Western Washington University in the fall though, if anyone is going up there.
Get in touch with DiscoDave of bellinghamlan.com - he's local also!
If you were in the pc area, you'd probably recognize at least a couple of us, and if you were in BYOC, well, you'd probably recognize a lot more. We had about 5 enforcers and 15 additional byoc people from our crew represent at PAX this year.

I suppose now the question now is when and where we could arrange such a meeting? Is there such an event that people more than 30 minutes away from the event would be willing to goto to hang out with other PA(X) people?
I'm here in southwest Missouri. Yeah, I drove to PAX. I kinda doubt anyone else is from around here. But hey, here I am.
I'm in Oklahoma City. I don't usually go up towards the Tulsa, Missouri area though I do know a few WoW players in that direction. Then again, I think there are WoW players in every direction...

You Digipen-ers don't get to answer!
OK fine, you can answer.
But yeah, I am up for some kind of Seattlite get together.
Oh, and what is this about a "Shorty's" thread and something about pinball?
ESSPLAIN!
Holy crap, Gas Powered Games? (I don't go to Digipen, but I did go to the GPG offices once.)

Wrong!
Right!
Granted, I'm just a contract employee, working in the warehouse. But still, its a downright cool thing to be able to say "I work for Nintendo!"
Perhaps I should just speak in quotes.
