Because there are other devices, such as a cellphone or a portable game system, which double as clocks, which makes watches obsolete
I would argue that watches are awesome though, especially my watch.
Plus when you are in class you can just look at your wrist to see what time it is and some teachers/profs don't like having cell phones in their class.
My boyfriend gets pretty spastic when I tickle him. Usually I get punched or hit, but it's totally worth it. Although last time he gave me a tattoo on my palm because there was a pen in his pocket.

it's an antique gold watch once worn by my grandfather, an Omega windy up watch. It makes a beautiful tick tick tick sound and it marked my grandfather's wedding to my grandmother, which is sort of heartwarming especially because their marriage was so dreadful.
