There is a rather fantastic Evil Edna quote if you want to look at the thread.

Something about Calmdown joining Burn Eden and finding PvP morals.

I listened to him on the latest Eve TV broadcast and he sounded like a douche. "We will jump into much larger fleets, taking on 50 with 10" Bullshit. I dont care what you have unless its a spectacular smartbombing battleship trap, you wont take on 50 with 10.

God bless the new Mac client. I'm going to be trying EVE this evening when I get back from work.

Not sure how fast it will run on my G4 powerbook, but at least it won't cost anything to try.

Just so long as it has an Intel/x86 processor, you might be OK. Check the system requirements in the newbie drive thread.

Hmm, is EVE suited to play for small sessions at a time? I ask because work+school=no time for long stuff, and EVE's skill system may be well-suited for lots of off time.

You can. If I don't feel like ratting, I buy/resell t2 ships in empire space. Logon, check your orders, set autopilot to go buy, come back however long later, pickup your stuff, and autopilot out to where you sell the stuff.

Do it with an alt since the swarm is constantly wardecced. You get 3 chars per account, but only one can train skills at a time. Make one char and train it up to the mid-sized industrial hauler (takes like one day even with no learning skills, so not awful), and then go back to training stuff on your main.

In some ways yes, since you can jump on for 30mins or so, switch skills, make a little money and log out. However, PvP operations (Which is where all the fun is) can take an incredible amount of time.

I got my first hauler spawn last night, My dominix can't tank 3bs's all to well and it makes me nervous, i saw 6 large Crosses and freaked out, called for help, and warped out.

The guy who came to help was nice enough to split the mats with me, 390,000 mex and 6.3million tritanium each.

I'm actually playing very casual right now, I have taken part in only 1 pvp operation, which was an impromptu 'OMG burn eden is onlining a control tower and a lot of missle battieries in hydra space get there now!'

That went pretty well. I mostly just Rat and mine, but it's a good time sink if you just wanna chill for a little bit.

For less time-intensive pvp, consider joining black ops. Having to go afk for long stretches is actually a good thing, since you can just cloak up while the enemy wastes his time looking for you. A newbie doesn't have the skills needed right off the bat, but you can get into interceptors quickly these days.

I am just letting my miner second account cook until he can use a Retriever and industrial, and then he can be ready for those sweet mining ops. Though currently I rat for is.

Also I'd be richer if someone would buy my Domination Large Artillery Battery Blueprint. :-(

Afraid not, newbies and new members to the alliance are not too welcome in blackops right now, several wtf incidents of spying and an increased need to make sure that blackops pilots know exactly how to handle their ships in the extremely target (and bait) rich environment have made Darsi tighten it up a bit.

However as a long term goal it's a fine one. Hell way back in syndicate I decided what I would have was a Rapier, this was before I ever saw a member of goonfleet in a recon and covops were rare enough. I have never actually flown a Rapier at all, I ended up making endless posts about Scimitars instead. Like this one.

They must have been in the cargo, because that is way more CPU than a geddon has available.

Well, I have never sold one before, and i haven't seen any on contract, but the Batteries themselves seem to go for around 50 to 60 million, three of them, which the BPC can make should provide three, which would be 150, however, due to manufacturing and mineral costs, you couldn't expect the same price as three built ones,

So how about for the low low price of 125 mil?

Wow, that's considerably cheaper than I would have expected. But then again, I have never sold one. 75 mil isn't so bad.

Lemme see what I get from SHC price check, and I'll give a better rate to In-corp buyers.

I did not know that, I just asked Darsi if I could join.

As it stands I still have not made it to Fountain. Euro time zone is a hard time to move. I am sitting on the wrong side of Y-2. One of these days I'll work from home and slip by in the downtime.

Y-2 is usually perma camped. The best bet is to sneak in through the lowsec entrance behind PNQ. Or head in from cloud ring.

Yea, I was kind of hoping you'd come back with a counter offer so I can guage what they go for, also that's why when ethea mentioned that goons buy them for 75 mil I went and check it out on Eve-O and SHC. I'll probably sell for 75 mil, but just want to guage it for future reference.

However, no one seems to be paying attention to my forum posts in SHC or Eve-0, so Sze, 75 million?

Hmm. Lemme check the cost on the bill of materials and such when I get back online. I'd probably need to ship to Jita if I wanted to sell the items as well, so I need to factor in travel time & cost. I presume the BPC is in or near E-PR0S?

I think you should sell it to deadtear because it makes sense to profit from it and have it put to use by allies. If you don't have GS forum access yet, I'll handle it or I don't see why deadtear wouldn't handle it over PMs here. See above ^
