So, i decided to give EVE another shot. Last time I tried to play was on my crappy laptop and it was chugging to play this. Recently we bought a new iMac and I saw that there was a mac client now. So I am going to sign up again and give it another shot. I will post more of my information when I get through the tutorial and the first/second mission.

We took out an industrial! w00! but there was nothing in it.
and my CEO engaged with a covert ops on a .3 sec gate without thinking.
and then he stood there long enough for his drake to get destroyed by the gate also.
Woo!
also, heavy interdictors are mean.
Your CEO Wasn't able to tank sentries in a Drake? For shame.
This is probably a stupid question, but since I haven't flown them yet, I am curious.
Are Heavy interdictors going to be the new solo ship of choice? I know they don't have Drones, but they do have two Bonuses to Projectile Turrets, and a heavy ass tank.
Has anyone tried this as a Solo ship?
Or is the offensive capability so gimped that a solo Assault Frig could tackle this fucker?
Well, I got through the main tutorial and I am at the part where I am told to go contact the other agent. I went for a combat based char and will finish up the rest of the tutorials today.
Should I go contact the other agent or go dock somewhere and await an invite?
Also, in game name is Valseki. See you guys in game!

If it comes down to that narrow of a technicality then I can't say I give a crap. I just thought it would be a gas to fly around with some of the folks on this forum. In the end... meh.
You were not put on this Earth to 'get accepted'.
So I might start playing again. My subscription is still running. I just sort of couldn't be bothered logging in for about a month. My skill-training backbone!

This is my room mate. He's a cool duder. Please let him join!
I would love you guys forever if you let my room mate in. I know he's new to PA Forums (he's read the comics for years though) but he's a good dude.
And I know he's not some faggot pubbie spy because Eve wasn't on his machine until he fucking clogged the network the other night downloading it. While I was trying to do my homework online!
Besides, if you let him in that means he'll keep Eve installed on his laptop which I can then use. This is important because said laptop is wired into a high-def projector. When I was taking breaks between homework last night I watched him fly around on it and I popped a chubby.
Just want to let everyone know that we've been building a MerchWiki for the past week or so. It will have as much info as we can write to help newbies get assimilated into the corp and learn Eve itself. Eventually we'll probably even move our recruitment procedures over from this thread so that the OP's won't be so monstrous.
Hi guys. I want to join merch industrial, but the list of offices seems out of date. I just flew to Mateber VIII and you guys aren't listed there. Is there a new office in minmatar space I can fly to?

I'm on day 4 of my newbie account and am currently bored to tears in Empire space. I want to see the real game everyone keeps talking about. Game name of Navette.

If you can't be bothered to follow simple procedure I can't say we really give a crap either, haha.
I've been playing Eve off and on now for about a month, and I'm starting to get bored running combat missions from agents. I think I might want to get involved in these massive PvP campaigns that I keep hearing about, and either way I certainly want some form of social interaction beyond what the Rookie Help channel has to offer.
I'm a long-time fan of PA, but I've never spent much time on the forums. I don't know anybody else in Merch Industrial, so I don't really have anyone to vouch for me not being a "dirty spy".
In game, I'm an Intaki named Marrkus, and currently I fly a Vexor which is geared (as well as my noob knowledge of Eve will allow) toward drone combat. (I seriously dig the "bees".) I feel like I'm right at the edge of being able to run Level II encounters from agents.
This quote really resonates with me regarding the way I want to play the game, the attitude/feeling I'm looking for in a corp, and what I feel I have to offer the corp:
I don't have too much time to play, but that works out okay for me because of a few things. First, the real-time skill training system means I make progress while I'm not online. Second, Merch is a great alliance with no playtime requirements. We are large enough that there is always something going on, yet small enough to still feel like a family. If I just want to jump on for a few minutes and kill a few NPCs, I can do that. If I want to stay on all weekend and take part of glorious operations with dozens of friendly ships, I can do that too.
So there it is... my first post on the PA forums. Is Merch Industrial for me?
Frankly, Eve is a pretty horrible game if you stay in empire or if you don't join a corp. Group pvp is pretty much where it's at if you're proactive enough to really get involved.

There's plenty to do in empire! For example, I created a corp on an alt and declared war on some pubbie corp. Now whenever I show up in their system their entire corp logs on and starts hunting me, then I gank a frigate and log off.

Sounds a lot like Dark Age of Camelot, I've had more fun there than any other MMO I have tried by far.
I've gotten the screwing around out of my system, learned a little bit, and created a serious character.
On my way to apply, hoping all goes well! Kesah Dalen is my characters name.
I very quickly need a GTC on Mont Claran. Like, ASAP. If someone wants to just send a transaction or have someone who's looking to sell do it, just let me know here and I'll accept it.
Just sold off my character and I am swearing off Eve forever. So long, and thanks for all the space fish o7
I do that every 4 months, except the selling a character part. The great part is that, unlike most other MMORPGS, I advance in the month I'm away.
Yeah, I don't really understand why you'd do that. EVE... is not a very addictive game. And it's always changing, so it's nice to come back and see if anything changed from the last time you got sick of it.

This is why i have battleship 5, and Cruiser 5. I suspect its also how i will finish CS5, logistics 5, and a few others.
Yea, I am too addicted to Eve to go away for a month while Cruiser V is going. It had to be in the Winter time too. In Spring I could at least go ride bikes with my hot ass kick-boxing girlfriend.
So I signed up for the trial and then the next day my girlfriend signed up too, but did it using my computer. Now I get a nice message saying please only use one trial at a time, and then it locks us out. Great thing is I can't find how to delete a trial account it just gives me the option of upgrading to a full account where the cancel should be.
EDIT: She deleted her character and now I can get on. This game is full of bugs like that. And now I have nothing on my overview at all....
So after reading about the epic Corp leader assignation and some of the other crazy stuff relating to Player warfare, I decided I would give EVE another try after not liking the trial too much.
Without a doubt I think the game is much more entertaining when in a Corp, and since I've heard many good things about MERCH and because of my general like ofPenny-Arcade. I would like to request to join the corp!
My in game name is Havon Thayer. It's a brand spanking new character as I wanted to Re-roll, but I'm getting back into the swing of things and doing whatever missions I can.
stay in empire atm.. too muck cockfagging in epros / azn
You know, despite the way everyone seems to act it's not purely a choice between e-pros and empire. Goonswarm has a shitload of space, most of which is better than e-p. Hell, the last time I even went within ten jumps of e-pros it was still BoB territory.

...... but if you are going to be in MRCHI then why wouldn't you base yourself where the corp can pay you out for the things you do ?
agreed, there are nicer places... but its our place

That's me. I am the pilot of that behemoth of a ship.
Too bad you're still ugly.

I'd like to contribute to the corp, even though I'm just a frigate pilot.
