And King Kong needs to get worse so that other people can get kills in bogs.

I have good and bad streaks. I don't know what it is but on some maps I can get a 5 kill streak in like under 1 minutes. I had a game on Strike last night where I got a chopper in under a minute.

Don't worry it will all end again here soon when I prestige again and lose Fragsx3

Also Kris sucks because he's from a nice part of Canada. I live in Saskatchewan. :(

Ewwww.... my companies main office is in Saskatoon, I dread going there. Do you know theres nothing blocking the wind from that arctic except for the odd stray reindeer?

Yeah I'm well aware that there's nothing blocking the wind because I live right in Saskatoon. God knows there's worse places to live...like Winnipeg :D (so glad I moved out of that shit hole).

Also Kris, sometimes the best thing you can do for your team is just find a good place to hide, lord knows I've had a few matches like that where you're more of a help by not going anywhere.

I will probably be on in the next hour or two for some shenanigans.

On the PC, what's the player cap for hardcore matches? I'm getting sick of Live douches.

I don't know what the limit is technically. However, the limit before it's overcrowded and stupid is usually 18 or so.

Most hardcore servers I run on cap at anywhere from 14-24.

Oh, this is for Sab and S&D though. Don't play the other modes, hate em too much.

So I actually managed a couple games with PA people tonight and it was cool. Damn it feels nice to have the G3 back. I had a couple actual good games, and every time I wasn't good, it was my roommate playing! I was so freaked out when someone told me to "watch right, they're around the corner."

I was under the impression there was no way someone could voice-chat without calling me something horrifying.

Oh, and I forgot to mention... Before I turned my rental copy back in, I beat Ghilles in the Mist and the followup mission.

It's going to be difficult for any gaming moment in 2008 to top that.

Either you beat it on Normal or you have no ability to become frustrated.

I was so happy with every part of that, got to the Ferris Wheel and thought oh hey this isn't so bad at all. Then the second and third and fourth waves came. God damn that wheel.

That was the only part of the game I really liked, but I don't really ply single player games anymore and I've only played this on Vet. But still that Ferris wheel sniping part was the most fun part of the game.

That ferris wheel wasn't that bad on veteran. At least looking back at it.

At the time, I thought I was at the pinnacle of frustration that the game could put me through. It can't get worse than this, I said!

But I was so, so wrong. It's unbelievable how incredibly wrong I was.

I am on normal, and in most levels I get raped hard enough that I volleyball spike my 360 controller into my mattress, so I doubt I'll ever try the harder difficulties.

    But I mean, on Ghilles...
That part where you're crawling under the cars? My heart was pounding. Lining up the shot on that crazy Russian guy felt really epic, too. I waited till the very end when he started getting pissed and yelling, then the wind died down and I took the perfect shot right as MacMillan started saying "It's now or never!", like, before he even finished getting the "It's" out.

I always just started that part by opening fire and shooting like 20 times hoping the wind would push a shot into him, got him in the arm like my 5th or 6th retry. Appearently a fatal arm shot.

Also I started sniping in multiplayer after that mission, and fell in love pretty quickly. Beat the ferris wheel part on my third try if I remember correctly.

That's because that's where Zakhaev is supposed to get shot.

If no one has noticed, in the present, Zakhaev has no left arm. It wouldn't exactly allow the story to even happen were you allowed to actually kill him in the flashback.

That one game...you know the one....where we were getting our asses kicked, even though we won...god...that was the worst match of my life. If I didn't die 2 seconds after I spawned, I lived just long enough to shoot someone and then get immediately taken by a sniper, flanker.

    10-20....

That was mortifying. Guys, guys what is wrong with me? When I get a chance later this week I want to just play this shit till I get good again. Also since I have the DE again, maybe I should go back to Last Stand. Nothing more fun than a pistol you can counter-snipe with.

Had an awesome time playing with all the other PA'ers for the first time last night, even if I did stink up just about every round except for that one on Downpour. I always seem to do best on Downpour for some reason (maybe because it's mostly two-dimensional?)

As best explained once, why not use a perk that will help keep you alive rather than one you can only use if dead.

The only problem with the G3 is that if you're caught off guard, you're pretty much screwed. Shooting it from the hip sometimes doesn't really help.

I still like using the "noob tube". It's great against campers, especially in hardcore. It's a bit cheap on levels like Vacant, but if you keep movin it's less of a hassle.

Because you know what's better than hearing somebody complain over voice chat when you're in a second story window overlooking the helicopter on Crash, he takes you down from ground level on the other side, and you still have enough time to drop him with the Desert Eagle?

    Absolutely nothing.

Besides, it's not like there's all that much in Slot 3 that keeps you alive longer except maybe Steady Aim and Extreme Conditioning, and on a lot of maps I don't find EC all that useful.

The thing I like about this game is that from a personal perspective, *very* little is actually cheap. Campers can't camp in the same spot for long due to the kill cam. there's enough cover and weaponry to counter nearly everything. Sniping is actually a super hard fucking skill. There's no "super" weapon that will always wipe out everyone once you have it. It makes me finally a firm believer that the 'halo model' is lacking more than I thought: heavy and super weapons are great and all, but that's what the game turns into: a race for those weapons.

the only thing I find "cheap" is on domination when you only have the one flag and the other team just corners the shit out of you. It makes me want to quit, because the match is damn near over on a few of the maps where they CAN essentially keep you to one or two buildings and just cover the entrances.

Yesterday, I discovered my love for the LMG class of guns. I always hated them before, but with a grip, they're not half bad. Oh, and the Mini Uzi. I think it's so funny to humiliate someone with a one-handed gun covered in camo paint.

Pretty much. And in the case with the grenade launcher, you only get two shots, and if you miss with one, you're pretty screwed due to the very long reload time.

On non hardcore matches you have to be pretty accurate with it as well, otherwise you'll just get a hit, but no kill.

That is why most of my builds have Bandolier and EC now, because they tend to serve me better than anything else. But god...10-20 in a game makes a man want to have some help.

Extreme Conditioning is almost a requirement for a few builds. I love trekking halfway across a map and getting setup in a spot well before anyone expected it. This works really well on Backlot and Bloc, specifically. Both of those levels tend to have spots where each team advances and creates a front. Gettin around and inside buildings otherwise thought save is great.

I created a shotty build last night with Steady Aim, 3x Stun, and UAV Jammer. Was glorious. I like the first shotty over the second one. Seems to put people down a bit easier.
