    Is kris really that bad?

The answer to your question is: "No"

I run hot and cold, however usually Hardcore ends up being ice age-cold. I'd like to point out that in in the hardcore game I had a better K : D than the esteemed Panny, even more if you factor in that 2 of my deaths were cause she just offed me.

Also, Panny, I know we've got a blooming romance going on, but its really not necessary to pin me down in Ambush during a regular deathmatch. I was leading! Actually, come to think of it, it's never necessary to pin me down.... oops.

Finally, that first game of Domination we did on Bog last night was awful. I don't wanna harp on about it, but that game is a perfect example of why you dont take all 3 spots early in the game. If we had held onto our two spots for a bit longer, then we would have sufficient points to squeek out a victory. As it is, you kept fucking getting the third point, and we lost. That +15 xp you get from capturing the third flag is jackshit in comparison to the bonuses we lost because some people couldn't restrain themselves. (Yes, I am pissed)

That must have been why you were on Crackdown when I hopped in for a few games last night.

    Yeah.

That post I made where I said something about willfully TKing martyrdom users? Guy last night had it on HC. Killed me three times with it, two other guys twice, and he accidentally knifed someone. Everytime he came near me I put a bullet in him. Fuck him, I'm not spending most of the game dead.

I eventually just left. They sucked. Bloc's not that bad of a map, but I know I'm playin with some half step jive turkey's when I can't even go near a window without being sniped.

Hopin to get on a bit tonight. But, again, there's that whole No More Heroes thing. I won't be suckered into wasting 30 minutes on Undertow though, that's for sure.
Also, Panny, I know we've got a blooming romance going on

I did a google search for "shitty Pennsylvania town" and I got quite a few hits. The first couple where for some angst ridden 16 and 20 year olds myspace account, so we'll disregard those.

However, I did find "E-Town" (Erie, 6th definition down). It gets points for having the funniest description on the site. I'm not to sure how accurate it is however, as no one I know except for the odd wanker calls Esquimalt (Def #2) "E-Town".

I'd say we could do Harrisburg but apparently we need to be gangsters.

I really liked the idea of us being the Pennsylvania Amish CoD4 Clan.

Good games yesterday folks. Sorry for my (XombieNinja) lack of communication but the gf had just gotten home so I was talking to her and I figured none of you wanted to hear about how my, or her, day went.

Also, for future reference, my disc is scratched so everytime Ambush tries to load up I get a DRE.

I thought about it for a bit. I can't be too jealous of Canada. On the way around town around 7AM this morning I stopped by a store that has a short order kitchen inside.

    Let me ask you this.

Can you get fried chicken at 7AM in Canada?

One thing I've thought about, game wise. Bloc on Hardcore. You know how bad ass it would be if everyone just got RPGs and grenade launchers, let the opposite team have just enough time to get to the second floor, and then spam them with explosive

    I probably won't do it.

I'm almost glad they don't have a TrueSkill counterpart to their online. XP is fine for opening things up. But I love it when people laugh at a lower XP skill and then end up with a 4/15 kd ratio.

Is this the one I'm thinking of where it seemed like we spent the entire map shooting down enemy helicopters? Seemed like two secs after we shot down one helicopter we'd hear "Enemy helicopter approaching" and have to do it all over again. That went on for like five or six minutes.

Plus my voice chat was messed up, couldn't hear any of you guys at all. And I kept getting dropped from the party after every round.

Happens, and Bog is a pretty bad map for getting dominated on. No where to hide from airstrikes, and choppers are a bitch if people don't work together to take them out.

Nothing I hate worse than playing with a bunch of randoms who just refuse to fire on a helicopter.

Meh. Really, the early guns are pretty great. M16, MP5, and the RPD are all available at level 4, and getting to level 4 is like one HQ match. So really, losing the majority of your guns isnt that big of a deal.

I do miss UAV Jammer and 3x Frags tho.

There's nothing I can't stand more than hearing a shit-ton of grenades going off because the entire opposing team all have 3x, and knowing the entire match is going to be them drying out of grenades only to be replentished when they die and starting the whole frustraing process over again.

Having never been to your allegedly superior (and cleaner) city, I can't speak to which is better. I will say in Winnipeg's defense, that it is a fine city which has many nice, clean, safe areas with beautiful houses, and our downtown area is relatively clean, and full of heritage buildings. I guess that is why we have so many Hollywood movies filmed here.

The hit detection can be wonky sometimes, but if you're doing terrible as a sniper, that's not why. Sniping is difficult to master in this game. You're just going to have to learn through experience when to hold your breath, when not to bother and just line up the shot with the shaky scope, how far to lead targets at different distances with an enemy running at different speeds, and what actually makes a good hiding spot.

Just keep doing it. It does suck at first, but if you enjoy it even a little, keep at it. It's not as easy as running around with any of the other weapons, but I find it far more rewarding.

I don't remember when you unlock claymores, though, but as a sniper, I don't like to use them, opting instead for bandolier for the most part. One thing you should get used to is even while you're focused intently down-range at distant enemies is to pay very, very close attention to sound. Unless they're crouched or using Dead Silence (which almost no one uses), an approaching enemy is noisy and if you're paying attention, you can get ready and get the jump on an enemy that thought they were sneaking up on you.

No, the notoriously horrible hit detection while using a sniper rifle and scope. Most of us are waiting for a patch to fix it.

Ninja Edit: I can snipe with a red dot too, but that ain't gonna help with the sniper rifle challenges.
