I guess I won't be piping for a while, because a STRANGE AND WONDERFUL new bug has appeared.
Every time I have music playing and ventrilo piping at the same time, when the track changes Ventrilo's CPU usage shoots up to 100% for about a minute, and hangs my computer for that time.
I've been having some troubles with my mic since I had to replace my motherboard. I'm pretty sure the motherboard is detecting the mic, as I see it pop up under the onboard realtek sound drivers and stuff, but Vent still isn't picking up any inputs. I've got "push to talk" checked, though I never used a hotkey before trying to pipe once, and my line is set back to microphone.
no no, I mean, use the Windows sound recorder ("sndrec32" from the Run menu, is what I was referring to) and see if you can even get any microphone input whatosever.
Yeah, it's connected and recognized and recording into the sound recorder. It's got to be a vent thing, then, I guess. I followed the pipe instructions to the letter, though I may have forgotten to do something when I was done. It was a while ago, before I had to replace my mainboard, so I can't quite remember what it might have been that I left...

Got any weird plugins for winamp? Just a random guess... I used to use a thing called Pacemaker that made Winamp take up about 5 or 10% more resources in general. I don't know why it would be in spikes, but it's the only guess I got.

Geh, I have until yuesday to come up with at least 3 more origonal game ideas for my games design class and I'm completley stuck for new ideas. Anyone up for brainstorming some ideas with me on Vent?
tK: My connection {bellsouth} has been fuxoring up for the past week. My family is pretty sure that in order to save money, they're somehow decreasing the amount of internets they're sending to some places, because maybe they aren't even using all the internets they're sending right now. So they'll only fix it once we call and bitch at their guy stationed in India, and then it only works for about 16 hours. So we have to do that for about a week, then we're clear for 6-7 months. It's happened 4 times in the past two years. I want to change service provdiers but my parents are the ones paying the bills, so meh.
