In this game you do stunts in cars and on motorcycles. You can fluff a stunt a bunch if you do a lot of other stunts like driving close to things and wheelies. The more best you are at stunting the more stars you get.
It is more best than the first game because it is less frustrating and you can improvise more and do more better stunts.
There was a pretty darn fun game hidden in the first one that was completely fucked due to the complete 2+ minute load it did every single time you screwed up.
As long as they dealt with that problem, I see no reason why this game shouldn't be fun.

Yeah, there is pretty much no load time in Ignition if you have to start a shoot over. It's so fun to barely make it through a shoot with four X's and then watch how awesome it looks in the replay.
No you see you have a planned route to go through with jumps and turns and stunt driving but on route you can improvise by say driving really close to things in a cool way, and if you chain together a lot of cool things so that there is no gap between the cool things you get the most stars. There are explosions and lava sometimes and jumping through chickens.
It's not like Burnout at all. Tycho got it right when he said it's more like a platformer or something, or it's some kind of puzzle game. Yes you're driving, but it's not a racing game.
That said, I never got the full thing, but did play the crap out of the demo and would totally pick it up cheap some day.
Flatout: Ultimate Carnage is also great fun, but is totally a racing game about destroying things.
Yes, this is a fun game. It's also a very frustrating game, and you're going to be replaying some missions 20 times in a row. The game is largely based on trial and error.
It's a million times better than the first Stuntman.

This game kicks all kinds of ass. I like how each movie has a different director with a different style.
The game also has some kind of online multiplayer, but I never really got into that. And you can make your own stunt track, race it, and I even think you can upload it and have other people give it a go. But again, I didn't get into that too much so I could be a little off.
The best part is when you complete all of the stunts in a movie, it shows you a preview of the movie, and if I am not mistaken it uses some of the stunts you did in the preview. It could be that the previews use generic stunts replays, but I swear it looked just like some of the stuff I did.
Some of the movies are pretty damn cool to. I would watch them if they were real.
It is just alot of fun, and not as hard as the last games were. It isn't too hard to finish a track, but it is hard to master it and get a 5 star rating. So you can finish a movie to get the next one, and have the option to return to the same movie later and try the tracks again to get that 5-star rating.
The thing I like the best is that you can retry a track right away, little to no load time. It is a god-send for when I want to hit every stunt and get a 5-star.
Yeah, or nights. It really is worth a play, the production values are great, there are tons of explosions and you can just do a ton of awesome stuff. It's a fantastic twitch game. It's rare that I'll play something over and over again to try and get the highest ranking.
I played the demo of the first and hated the shit out of it. The adverts in this one require you to do the run perfectly, and they're fun because they're short and not the main focus of the game.
The levels I don't like are the really long ones. They're just tedious and getting five stars requires too much luck. The last hillbilly level can suck a fuck.
No sir...I didn't say that I couldn't pass it. I was out for 5 stars, failure to achieve that rank over a few days made me want to play something else. I sucked at the linking, so it was target or nothing.
This game owned my life for about two weeks. Sooooooo much fun and frustration. I still have it, we should try and get some people together for the multiplayer which I hear is rather fun. As I recall one of the mods is playing the scenes just like in singleplayer but everyone is a ghost car so you see each other but don't interact. Another multiplayer mode I remember will make you want to kill your friends. One person is doing stunts and being all awesome while all of the others try and fuck him up. :^:
TUBE. I love you so much. Your Ultimate Destruction thread made me understand my purpose in life. This game flew under my radar but your endorsement is enough to effect a purchase from me. Thank you for your insight and your face made of giant melon and your soul constructed of awesome house and funk beat.

Just about all the Bond levels were a pain in the ass because of the ice, length, and the crazy shit they had you do at the very end. Things where if you didn't hit perfectly would ruin the run. The stupid "ride on two wheel over this 15 foot gap on this plank of wood that's about 2 feet wide" at the end of one of the missions was the pretty frustrating.
The Batman levels were really fun though.

Managed to get to the 3rd scene in the last movie (Live Twice For Tomorrow).
The ridiculous load times only made the time you finally nailed it that much sweeter.
The second one is good too, though. I beat it and started trying to 5 star everything, and then I inexplicably just stopped playing. I should get back on that again.
I picked it up for 13 bucks at a local music and game store, having played the original and I can say all around it is a much more polished game with a much higher difficulty.
The big difference I noticed was that the movie intro's and directors were better in the first but had less dialog. All the acutally game play mechanics are better in the second as they should be. there is also tons of content, two player battle mode, build a stunt arena, practice missions, bonus missions, download expan$ion pack etc...
There are a ton of make-you-earn-your-wings type achievements and getting a String-it on a 2 and a half minute driving level is no joke. Dodging falling molten rocks while weaving in and out of oncoming traffic, landing in right spot, busting a 180.... pretty intense shit.
Nice variety of vehicles too, semi's, trucks, motorcycles, sports cars, fire marshall cars, monster trucks, armored cars...
Really, if you like fun, like racing, like novelty, like ramping difficulty and want something that you can pick up and play for 10 minutes or 10 hours it really is a no brainer.

What's the feedback like in this one? Besides the ridiculous load times of the first game, the other thing that frustrated me was how little feedback it gave you as to why you failed a particular stunt - you'd do basically what the arrows suggested you do but still rack up enough fails to loose the level with no clear indication of what went wrong.
So, is it still basically a guessing game where you might as well just ignore the onscreen directions for all they're worth or is it actually possible to divine what the fuck the developers hoped you'd do this time around?

If you do the stunt in the box it almost always allows it, so I guess that's not a problem. You can also miss up to five stunts in every course.
I played the demo when it came out, and had alot of fun with the game. I was impressed the demo let you do as many stunts as it did. It was always a game I had as a "maybe purchase" and now it seems you can buy on the cheap, I will probably go for it.

It's ten bucks? There's no excuse not to buy it now. I was waiting for it to drop to 40.
The fact that it's not as frustrating as the first makes it worth a purchase. People that don't have this should buy it. Like, go get it. Now.

i liked the first one but never played this. a feature i liked earing about is how instuctions from directors are fed to your headset. immersion++
What ISN'T a pretty fun game?
Volcano Lava Bullshit was a bit of a pain too, at least if you're shooting for 5 stars throughout.
I should probably get back at it.
