Previews O' Plenty

Thought I'd set up a thread for us to place up links to previews of upcoming issues and give our two cents about any of them.

First up are a pair of preview pages I found while visiting CBR. The first are three titles from DC's selection in October, all #1 issues; Gen-13, Tales of the Unexpected, and The Omega Men. To see what's still there and not there for the 13, a sampling of the Spectre's punishments, and what's become the latest cosmic religion, check this link out here.

http://www.comicbookresources.com/news/newsitem.cgi?id=8102

On the flipside are five titles from Marvel, all coming out on August 30th; Captain America, Mythos: Hulk, U-F4, X-Factor, and the last issue of X-Men: Fairy Tales. While not all of them have text, they still worth a look.

I cannot make another thread for quite some time, so I will put Jonn's new look here. It is scence in a preview, after all. :-) Looks... different. Glad to see him looking a little less like some kind of bondage magician.

Today, check out previews for next week's issues of Batman, Blue Beetle, and Vertigo's Loveless.

    http://www.newsarama.com/dcnew/Aug06previews/aug23rd.html

Plus, from Mile High Comics, take a look at next week's issue of Exiles to see how many Wolverines can be stuffed into one comic before it implodes.

    http://www.milehighcomics.com/firstlook/082306/ex85cvr.html

Also, review the preview presented on their site for Wonder Woman #2, which holds one more page then the one presented in this thread earlier, an extra page which sheds a little light on a certain character's new career choice. :)

You know, I like that they seem to be drawing Connor as a little more biracial. It always bugged me that he was a white/asian/black mix but for all intents and purposes pretty much just looked like a white guy with slightly darker skin. I still get a giggle out of how one of the kids at Ollie's rec center or whatever called him Tiger Woods.

Just one preview this time, that being for Wolverine #46. Colored but textless, it shows off Logan's continuing hunt for whoever was responcible for Stamford. It also has a big action (perhaps planned as a one-page narrative described by Logan about the events in CW#4) page showing off some of Civil War's notable characters so far. To take a spoilerish view at it, head on over to here.

Here's some new previews. Newsarama's weekly 52 article has two pages for next week's issue. From the sight of it, I'm sure the Booster/Superbuddies/JLI fans will have new fuel for their lynch-mob fire. :) Not a bad read otherwise as the article's focus is on Starfire and Lobo's actions in this week's issue.

    http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=82646

Newsarama also previewed next week's issues of Detective Comics and Atom on their site, both found on this one link. Both are healthy in the girl-quotient for those interested.

    http://www.newsarama.com/dcnew/Sept06/previews/sept_7th.html

And a little down the line, CBR has previews for some of Marvel's September 20's releases. If you wanna see what Union Jack, X-Men: First Class, Sensational Spider-Man, Moon Knight, and Stan Lee Meets Dr. Strange will look like ahead of time, take a look right here.
