Yup, they lost my order as well as Tiger`s...
The buttons should be waiting at my hotel room when I get there. Unfortunately that means no trading during the Vancouver Pre-PAX events or bus trip :(

I`m definitely disappointed by this. To be honest, PureButtons acted like "Oh, yeah, must be lost in Canada customs" when their own tracking number never showed that it arrived at customs....

Thats what they said to me too.. And the order arrived later that day. So chances are, USPS sucks and will not bother updating your tracking number during the whole trip like they did for me. I think purebuttons is correct when they say it's in customs.

My order was shipped back on July 11th, so I think it's pretty safe to assume I'm not getting it.

I've mailed things to Canada many times and it is not uncommon for shipping from the US to Canada to take up to a month to arrive.

incidentally, I ordered my buttons on 8/8 and they were just shipped. I should be posting received pics soon.

Ya, but I've ordered other stuff since then that has got stuck in customs and I've already got it. Buttons may actually be stuck in customs, I'm just not very optimistic.

So, the weirdest thing has happened. All my badges have arrived - mine in 2 lots of 50, LewieP's in 1 lot of 100. Purebuttons agrees with this. Today, I've had a card from the Post Office, saying I have a parcel which requires almost $70 Customs Duty paying on it - £34.29. I went to see what it was; its from Purebuttons, 10 badges, weighing 1lb 8oz, value $300! I kid you not!!! I've just emailed Jeff to find out what they are made of (gold at that price) and to see if he can tell me what the order is, as there's none showing on my account.

So, I might have some very special badges for people, on the other hand, I might not. To put it into context, the other badges cost $20.50 for 50 x 1.5 Inch Buttons for the first order, $25.20 for 100 x 1.5 Inch Buttons for the second, and $18.40 for 50 x 1.5 Inch Buttons (using discount coupon.)

    I'm baffled!

Whoa! That's bizzare! I think someone did a MAJOR typo, it's got to be. Someone added a zero where they shouldn't have, and took another away. Like if they typed "10" butons instead of "100" and "300" dollars instead of "30"... that seems like the most likely scenario to me. Is there a way to avoid that 70$ customs duty? That's painful! =( =( =(

Edit: Dammit guys, I just noticed that purebuttons do an affiliation service.

Next year we should set up an affiliate account, and we can donate the commission to Child's Play.

The only way i can avoid it is if Jeff at Purebuttons emails Royal Mail to say he made a mistake with the value of the buttons, even then, its doubtful. But as i don't even know what's in the parcel, i don't know if I want to risk paying for them - if it were 100 zip pulls or square badges, I think I will, but if its just another 100 of what I have already, I'm not sure - can't see me giving away 200 badges. I've asked Jeff to let me know whats in the parcel.

Aye, definitely see if he can clear it up with them. Even if it's 100 square badges, it's not worth an extra $70 to receive. I think if they won't lower the rate, Jeff should compensate you accordingly for the mix-up... or maybe you could ask customs to open the package and look at it? If they still think it's worth 70 bucks after opening it, then they're crazy. =)

If life has taught me anything, it's to always go for the mystery box. Like, you can almost be certain that box isn't filled with $300 worth of scorpions. It's probably filled with candy, or rolls of quarters, or something fantastical.
