Also wow, they shipped this latest supply EXTREMELY quickly! I just got mine in the mail, and I ordered it on the 8th. Here's the new and improved VThornheart buttons (of which I have 100, making a total of 150! Woot! )
Okay, so in my Photobucket account I have my original art picture right next to it, and what I just noticed was that it actually looks *better* in button form than the original art. Purebuttons does a damn fine job. take a look, compare side to side:
I don't know how it's even possible, but the colors look more... right... in the actual button. Maybe it's just in my head... but Purebuttons does a great job either way (apparently as long as the buttons arrive =( )
Ordered 100, got 112. I can live with that kind of counting error.
Don't worry. Counting errors happened to all of us. Which is a good thing in the end.
And Random Inane Thought of The Day...

I'm pretty sure it's because the button template was in CMYK (which is the standard for print material), and when you view CMYK on a monitor, the colours always look borked. Once it's printed, it will look like your (undoubtedly) RGB original.
Also, I actually have no proof that I know what I'm talking about.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. CMYK is the colorspace that most printers print in, but most cheap imaging problems (like MS Paint for example) only do RGB. So there is a difference in the color on your monitor and on your printer.
Also, Solid Steve, you said "colours" but you live in the USA. Take it back!
Got my buttons today! Ordered 50, but I got 63. Anyone else get more than they ordered?
Yeah... everyone. And no, it's not a counting error. You see, when purebuttons prints a page of 1 inch buttons, they print 25 (5 x 5) to a sheet. This means if you order 1 inch buttons, you will get them in exact increments of 25. The 1.5 inch buttons on the other had print on pages of 16 (4 x 4), since they are bigger, and that's all that fits. Since the closest increment of 16 to 50 is 48, and they cant give you less than you pay for, they have to go to the next highest, which is 64. If you ordered 100, then the closest to 100 is 112. So, see, its not a miscount, it's just how much fits on a sheet of paper.
Those are sexay. If you're down, we'll have to swap Dr. Horrible themed buttons. Mine have shipped, I think on thursday, so I'll get pictures of them all up when I recieve them. I only live a state away, so it shouldn't take long!

I absolutely loved Blaster Master. Seemed like I was the only kid who had ever played or heard of it back then. To this day I think it's underrated.
Yeah. I've been playing through again on an emulator. It's pretty difficult, and there are some cheap hits (mostly from flying enemies appearing out of nowhere in tank mode), but it's still cool to power up the tank. And the fully powered up on foot weapon still feels ridiculously strong (until I reach a boss, of course).
Hmm... If PureButtons is ahead of schedule like I'm hearing– I might do a "Secret of Mana Let's Play Fan" button. I really should finish that LP some day...

Halp?
We had a well advertised cut-off date and extended it still. It's closed because there is work to do behind the scenes and we can't keep accepting names on that list forever..

I loved that game, then got to the last level and dug into some rock, paused the game, unpaused and all the rock came back, burying me alive. never got that far again.

RedHalo, I've been having shipping issues with my buttons. I only waited because I couldn't be absolutely sure that I would have them. Now I know my buttons will be there... You mentioned several times the importance of having the final product in hand... Can I please be added to the list?
There was no talk of a cut-off date in the original post. It's unreasonable to expect everyone to read 18 pages of buttontalk. The original post still advertised a link to the form, so I assumed I had time. I don't understand your sudden hostility...

Sorry for the caps lock.
Anyway, half of them are misprints. I don't know his plan for the misprint limited edition buttons.
