As someone who's favoured swords and combat since long before it became the Gold Standard, yeah, I wouldn't mind a little more love.

Also, many of the classes have gotten a 'second pass' where talents are tweaked, fixed, moved, improved or added, and they've all seemed pretty badass. Even if I were perfectly content with what we'd gotten, there's nothing wrong with getting some more awesome stuff.

WoW is pretty damned boring these days... all I ever log in to do is play my 49 twink warrior and do the fishing quest on my 70 hunter, hoping for a monocle. My guild has fallen apart and never raids anymore, and doing dailies makes me want to stab myself in the eye.

I also hate that I got to play WAR for a weekend but then it was taken away! I want to play MOAR.

Yeah, WoW does get a little boring. My Hunter is currently 67 and progressing ever-so-slowly because I've been through that shit 4 times already. Not to mention that at that level range you're in Nagrand and then you go to the Blade's Edge Mountains. One thing these two places have in common? You get to kill about twenty billion ogres in each of them. Seriously, there's just way too many ogres in Outland. Here's hoping that in Lich King we get to kill something new and exciting rather than the same ol' same ol'. If there's even one goddamn boar or ogre in Northrend I'm gonna qu.... uh... write an angry letter to Blizzard about it. Or maybe not a letter, those take too much effort. A forum post, probably.

I hate WoW's patching. Just two patches for 2008, which is worse than 2007's pathetic showing. At this rate, 2009 will just have 4.0 before Fury of the Murlocs launches.

But, there is happiness that devs have been much more forward with us about their intent for raids, PvP and what have you. TBC had chucklefucks like Tseric contradicting developer posts, and the beta forum were dead with little blue posting at all. Thanks guys for actually doing your jobs!

I'm hoping WAR is tightened up when open beta launches so I can cancel my account and tell Arthas he can have Azeroth for all I care.

    Annoyance:

So we lost a resto druid (not the annoyance) to being recalled by the military. So he decided to let his brother have the account. Said brother decided to leave the guild. And he decided he'd try to ninja a chunk of the guild bank. At which point he ran into limits we put into place to prevent hacked accounts from doing this. We have a limit on the per tab withdrawals.

So dipshit thinks he'll grab the most expensive items and run off. Unfortunately, being a complete and total moron he steals things that look purple. Some examples:

    Epic Frost Resist helm.
Restro Druid Shoulders from BT. (Current AH value....22g)
    Some arcane tomes

So he managed to ignore a number of high value items and steal stupid stuff. Sum total of his thiefs comes out around 500g or so. Fortunately the story ends with the druid going on vent and ripping his brother a new one and the items were returned.

But seriously, if you're going to steal, why be a fucking moron and steal shit you can't use or sell?

I love Blizzard, really, but the way they go about betas annoys me to no end. You either have to travel across the country or the world to get a beta key, or just be randomly selected. I just wish for once that they would reward those players who have been customers for years. I mean, pick those people with 24 month+ active accounts and let them in.

Of course I wouldn't be whining about this if I'd have made it into the damn opt-in, but since I didn't, here I am :)

I too have been playing since launch, and since shortly after BC with two accounts. Now I have three, because I'm going to get a zhevra mount on one of my characters. And no beta for me :(

I too agree, they should give out more keys to long time subscribers than to short term ones. Everyone deserves a chance at beta, but those of us who have been in for the long haul, I think should have an edge over someone who's been playing for three months.

Oh well, all I can do is check my inbox and hope.

Happy though: I seem to be the only one in my guild gungho about DK's, so chances are I'll get to raid with one (assuming I can put some serious grindage in).

Hate: Chances are all these people who are saying "meh I might roll one after the newness has worn off and everyone else already has, just to try it out. Will be the same people, who before BC hit, said the same about paladins, and ended up taking their fucking vacation at BC launch to be the first paladin high enough in the guild to get a spot. :(

Goddamnit! Some people don't keep jobs long enough to build up vacation! I'm one of thsoe people you cheating sunsabitches!

Prot is pretty fun right now, more active than on live but not crazy active like Warrior tanking. The new itemisation is working out really well too.

Thanks RNG, now instead of finishing a set, we're starting another, and because we only had 2 warriors in the raid (and 0 rogues without a MH), it went to ... the tanking warrior. The DPS warrior had been in for a significantly shorter period of time, and probably wouldn't have used it anyway.

I'm running 5/56/10 right now, though I haven't done the maths on Divine Strength it's boosting threat and mitigation at the same time and I really like that about it. Shield of the Righteous is the main single target threat move now, just how Shield Slam is for Warriors, and Hammer otR is used on every cooldown too. I'm only using Consecration on pulls with more than three mobs now (though I imagine i'll use it on every cooldown in raids, where mana is more plentiful).
I couldn't copy over my protadin for some reason so my holy pally had to do so my tanking gear is entirely northrend stuff (STR, STAM, DEF), but I've had no problems at all with threat or mitigation in any of the 5mans, I haven't ran the heroic yet because noone else seems to want to so I can't really say how things will work out there but at the moment my prot Warrior is going fury as a farming character for the Horde Paladin I'm levelling to tank with.

Cap is 80 now. Shield Spec currently just absorbs 30% of the block value on your items, ignoring strength totally, I think; so it doesn't affect SotR's damage. They changed the Warrior version to a working 30% extra BV so hopefully the same treatment is on it's way.

I was super tempted to skip Redoubt and Shield Spec too but really, for all the complaints of bloat in the tree, I don't feel like I'm really missing any key talents in my build (maybe mess around with the Judgment cooldown for rotation purposes).
