I'm not sure if you're positing that as your view but you don't have to demonize business and glorify Bohemia to appreciate Rent. I didn't 'take' any of those messages, just saw a group of people who felt backed into a corner and were upset about it but lived their lives as best they could anyway.
Guys, stop talking about computer games I can't play because my computer sucks.
Actually, just stop talking about anything you enjoy that I can't do. Thanks.
So how about them guitars? You can play guitar, right?
No, I play piano, which is infinitely superior to a guitar.
The two are not comparable.
Well, it's kind've hard to compare when it's infinitely superior...
The piano has a better range but there are certain things you can do with a guitar that are difficult or impossible to do with a piano.
Also try lugging a grand piano around all day (unless you are like a world-class weighlifter).
I'm not sure guitar cracks my top five for stringed instruments. Maybe not top ten.
There are certainly better sounding instruments out there, but good quality ones are outrageously expensive due to lack of popularity, and have a much steeper learning curve.

I hear they do amazing things with electronics these days.
Also:

However, I don't really promote the superiority of piano over guitar, although in piano/keyboard's favor, there are significantly fewer college frat assholes trying to woo giggly freshmen girls with a shitty rendition of Moonlight Sonata.
No, I'm not jealous, why would you think that?

I don't care one way or the other about Rent, except to say that the movie was awful. The comic just seemed relevant somehow.
Damn, my boss got the idea to have a pharmacy movie night where we get together and go to a movie theater. The only caveat was that she got to pick the first movie.
The problem, she picked Disaster Movie.
I think I laughed a total of two times.
Why did anyone let her do that?

As someone who has access to both, I can safely assure you that a keyboard is still a lot heavier and larger than a guitar.
Oh, for sure. But a keyboard is still portable, it's just more of a pain to lug around. I could walk around campus with it or something.
I mean, are you arguing that you can bring a guitar places you can't bring a keyboard? I guess that's true, but that depends on the keyboard to a certain extent, and really it's a matter of being willing to carry it.
Bringing a keyboard somewhere is more of a "thing" than bringing a guitar, but that's a social stigma more than an actual physical restriction.

Eh, we felt nice and it was her idea. One of those moments, you know, when you're being a good person and you just get fucked for it. I'm thinking next time we do this, everyone can come to my house, I'll bake cookies, and we can watch Iron Man.
I completely forgot to take my medication today and then time rolled on and it was like 3pm and if I took a small dose it would barely make any difference and if I took a full dose I'd end up up till 3am.
What's another route to generating a stoichiometric amount of HCl in a solution? Because seriously, this is the only thing I think I'm doing wrong with this reaction.
Boo chemistry.

I should have been studying psych all day too. But I can't read these damn papers like this, their pomposity makes me want to fold all their words up into paper planes and see how far I can make them glide out the window.
So I put them in a drawer where they'll be safe.
Maybe I'll pull out Godhand again. That should keep me busy.

(PSN: Morninglord) (Steam: Morninglord) (WiiU: Morninglord22) I like to record and toss up a lot of random gaming videos here.

You straddle chemistry from a physics perspective, I straddle physics from a chemistry perspective. But I'm fairly convinced this is going to be some bullshit like "oh you actually do it this way, it doesn't really work the way we wrote in the paper".
If I remember correctly you can make dry HCl by adding vinyl chloride to a solution. Oh yeah, yesterday I found out we have a chemical called "Adamantane". It looks like this:
Yeah, I ended up looking that up a while back for some reason. I was quite impressed too.
If my other supervisor doesn't get in soon, I think I'll go home and get some sleep. I've got a wedding reception tonight and I want to try and get rid of this cold.

it's more how the scope, philosophy, and pacing of delivery change completely between the first and second acts
you go from an incredibly dense sequence of events, to a sprawl that honestly takes its own characters for granted
also the ending is simply bad

Piano and guitar are both accessable.

Gates telling bed time stories about inheritance and polymorphism? Yes!
No kidding. I kind of wish I would have stayed home and played spored. I'd have more money and not smell like sweat and dirty dancefloor whore.
no, soon. blu-ray and dvd. should be a sick blu.
Urgh I started playing jedi knight straight after making that post without refreshing. Sorrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy its the instant distraction thing.
I'm on msn now.
Combi-DVD? That'd be nice. I could watch it on the PS3 and could give it my dad to watch it on his normal DVD player.
