If multiple people PK the same person, do they all get credit/experience or is it RNG'd to see who gets the kill and the rest are SOL? Do they all get the experience but split it so they all get less?

Here's where the problem develops, since levels and experience seem to be public (and even if they weren't fights are so who's in the lead could be pretty easily extrapolated) makes targets a lot easier to pick for bad dudes. Then again I don't know if we really stand much chance at winning without doing so, and we'll have to see how that goes. Playing to kill the dragon is probably a good idea, but playing to raep woodland creatures is what I'm all about.

Also, !TheTheRoo, because Maxim demands vengeance :x.

Maxim=Maximus to me. I regret nothing.

Also, I think that I should mention that my Death Knight is constantly standing on his tiptoes to look taller than he actually is, and therefore has deliciously svelte calf muscles.

You also get a height advantage against your opponents, right?

Maybe that's why you death knights get that exp bonus in the forest.

    Crafty folk, those death knights.

    First come, first served.

The Bartender won't return your gem, but you can attempt another kill as your Town Action without having to respend a gem the next day(s).

I'd retract and spell your name properly to make you feel better, but that would make me a sissy. Technically it was just incredible misfortune on my part that my sacrificial vig managed to land on the person who eats them, so I don't think that's really grudge worthy, it's not like it was an active power. Unfortunately Law earned the removal of his grudge in the viking phalla, leaving me mostly targetless at this point.

Yeah, but wouldn't it make more sense to start powerleveling that way after as many people as possible have had their full gear upgrades? Theoretically, after 4 days at least some of us would have tier 4 gear. That way we'd maximize our overall chances of defeating the dragon.

Of course, this is assuming gems grow on trees. I suppose we'll know more tomorrow.

Death Knights: Yes, I assume you all use your power every night since there is only one and it has no real downsides. That's why you may see it on your actions without having specified it, and why your Attack and Defensive Strengths are increased.

I'm just factoring it in to simplify things during resolution at day end.

An idea just occurred to me, since gems can be transferred.

If we assume a group facing the dragon consists mostly of death knights and mystics, how about this: As soon as we have the gems, the DKs start powerleveling by attacking thieves nightly. The mystics are left alone to collect gems and experience. The thieves roll over and die. Once we have higher level DKs, the mystics start helping them gear up if necessary.

I realize this may not be a popular plan among the thief crowd, but, yeah.

That's gonna be an awesome plan when the hackers and griefers kill off all the death knights that are power leveling, all the thieves are stuck at level 1 and the mystics are all mid level.

Any public plan that isn't "find and eliminate the griefers and hackers while everyone tries to level up" seems like the perfect way to get our legs cut out from under us.

Also, unless i'm reading things wrong, there's more than 4 levels of weapon/armor. there's 10 of each. And they naturally upgrade over time, but can be upgraded manually only 4 times durring the game.

    I can't imagine why...

Though seriously depending on how the thief ability works they might be our best chance at getting a level 12 crew ready to face the dragon. I think we're all assuming that any standouts in the level department are going to get a bad guy axe to the face to stop them from ever getting to 12th.

Thieves could try and horde up gems and then just cash them all in as late as possible. Ninja-ing a high level late game.

To add to that I think it's strongly hinted that thieves can level faster than any other class if they rob the right people at the right time.

I will attempt to organise those who have got in contact with me (if any have at all) so that we can level someone up without having him knocked off, and I think that small groups of villagers boosting each other is possibly the best way to avoid a co-ordinated high level purging by team evil
