Juno was a pretty great movie. It was funny and had unique writing and good actors.
I have no problems with the actors. It was superbly cast.
But the writing is like taking a seasons' worth of Family Guy pop culture references and a bunch of made-up slang terms from the latest Disney television movie and cramming them into a five minute scene, repeated ad nauseum.
juno would have been good if diablo cody knew how to write dialogue that real people would say.

Well that sure makes me think of [indie band #1] crossed with [indie band #2] to form the super-duper combo of [comical reference to some similarity between the two bands]
I remember the day Men In Black 2 came out, I was so excited to see it.
That morning I was reading the paper, and saw Roger Ebert's review of it, where he ranted about how terrible it was and a complete waste of time and money and so on.
Except it actually was, and was one of the most horrible sci-fi films I ever sat through.

I should add that I went to see it having not slept in over 24 hours at the time.

An ineffable tragedy of the human spirit that still resonates, even today.

"I am a cybernetic organism. Living tissue over [a] metal endoskeleton."
Comes up a lot, actually.

I do a pretty good job of picking out movies that I will like.
you hear me Bemis?
edit: I liked Good Shepherd after I saw it again
Big Fish is the opposite of a terrible movie.
No, I actually really liked it.
It was a really well done movie about the Hulk and his rage as a metaphor for repressed emotional trauma.
I also like Ang Lee's Hulk, though I'm not really sure why
I guess Sam Elliot certainly helps, and the few scenes where Hulk gets to smash shit are good
