I also left college because the internet sucked. I specifically asked if they blocked shit before I got there and they said no they didn't. They lied. Two months in and I could no longer play Counter-Strike or get on AIM. So I left. Then I went to a commuting school. Probably ended up saving $20,000 just from meal plans.

I can understand this
I'm sort of frustrated after my first month or so now. None of this shit seems even close to college level
It's actually markedly easier than high school and the people are swine. I'm hoping I'll be happier if I switch over to English, though.
Also I tend to do a lot of stuff at school that takes place later in the evenings so I wouldn't really want to be commuting
It's a great place to make friends.
It's also a great place to get sick all the time because there's someone that smokes pot way too much and it reeks after a while. My roommate was gay, he constantly tried to "accidentally" drop his towel after coming back from the shower. It got to the point where I had to get up at 4:00, take my shower, and do shit for three hours outside of class.

of course I also might have ADD so that might have something to do with it
also, i miss college so much
the same will still apply! the key is to find the things in the class that you like and focus on those
often times i'll end up just reading the whole course text, not just the assigned parts
And a longer one for English, due in a week or so, he's giving us the assignment today

I already have lots of friends here so I get to sit and home and smoke weed where it doesn't bother anyone and not have to deal with like 500 other confused morons living with me.
Also, you should seriously have just hit him with a stick or something the second time he flashed you because you have to teach people lessons quickly and harshly

and thus, i started my post-graduate studies! hoorah for six figure debt!
Anyway I do intend to at least try for an Associate degree in something
it's not really worth much but is markedly better than high school

I'll probably end up staying at home and going to the local community college full time for the next year or so
Get my gen-ed stuff done with for a bit cheaper before I transfer to a four year and get my computer science degree
Hopefully there will be more interesting English courses available once I switch out of Mass Comm, which I think is the biggest part of my discontent, since the school of mass comm is dumb butts
there is a graphic novel course here I want to take pretty bad though

It's just this class is structured so much like high school, with daily homework and completely unimaginative papers and shit
I totally reccomend this
I left high school a year early and finished up at the local community college, and everything I did there was way easier, more relaxed, and generally better than what I've experienced at a 4 year college so far
It's a nice experience that lets you learn about college in a non-retarded way with incredibly minimal effort

So, fuck, now I'm taking entry-level philosophy as the final paper in my degree. I left the essay till the very last minute because I had proper work on and now I'm pissed off at myself because I would really rather be sleeping.

and whats with all the people here doing sociology and psych and history and various other bullshit subjects
and not just here
but in general those subjects seem very over represented validated as higher education
they are also the same fuckers who camp outside the library trying to arrange protests while every other student pretends not to see or hear them
