It's not really the blood and gore that gets to me, as much as the whole 'everyone is dead, have fun with your no-hope end of the world', and the song fits pretty well.
On another note, there's just something so satisfying about the potted plant in Dead Rising. (granted, I've only played the demo.)
It's felt really weird for me to see the intro like this cause usually I have the commentary track playing. Dawn Of The Dead has a really good one with Zack Snyder and one of the producers just chatting about stuff without going too deep into technical/boring details. It's just as fun to watch the movie while hearing them talking about how they probably offended a church next door to the mall by having actors tossing bodies off of the mall-roof during a service while yelling curses or how they're taping the commentary the day before the release of the movie in theaters, so they don't know if it'll be a smash or if the viewer picked up the DVD in some dollar store bargain bin.
