    Great guys usually aren't successful.

This is the sort of thing that an idiot would think. Why did you post it?

Nice guys can be successful too.

Obama's back from his Ogramma's soon
He traveled the streets of Honolulu, where he was born and spent much of his childhood, in a motorcade of police cars and Secret Service vehicles. A pool of reporters tagged along. Supporters waited in hopes of spotting him for a few seconds.

Even an attempt to take a quiet walk through his old neighborhood involved guards and a crowd of reporters and cameras, attracting attention from passers-by. Obama, clad in jeans, a black shirt and sandals, quickly gave up on the idea and returned to his grandmother's apartment building in an SUV.

    :(

I'm gonna stop hating on Apple for the day, because they've done good with that donation.

The lack of hating is my thanks.

    My prediction:

Obama and Biden win this election. But because the economy won't magically fix itself overnight when they take office, McCain/Lieberman win in 2012.

McCain will be way too old in 2012.

Probably also too old, though it would be a very interesting run.

I honestly think the GOP will do a knee jerk election thing, where they try to get the most appealing person to run for office, i.e. not an old white man.

People said the same of FDR but people understand that the economy can't be fixed overnight. If they see real effort and progress, even if it isn't all fixed at the end of four years, they'll re-elect him. Probably in an epic margin. Similar situation with Reagan as well (coming into office on stagflation and all), though obviously not nearly as severe a problem and the economy had begun to recover by the time the 1984 election rolled around.

I think, given the measures taken so far and other measures likely to be taken in the near future, the current crisis will fall much closer on the reagan end of the spectrum, in which case there's a good shot that Obama's re-election will follow a similarly dramatic, sweeping form.

    That's my hope, anyway

Jesus is it even possible for McCain to get older

I mean he already looks like if you clapped him on the back a cloud of dust would shoot out of his mouth.
