On an unrelated note, I don't get what the 'FFFFFFFFFFFF' thing is all about. Other than maybe it's a sound someone who is just so pissed off that they can't do anything but steam might make.
To be honest, I think this should be the 'Hope, happiness, and KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN! thread. Y'know, in honor of Khan's recent demise and all.
Happy: Druid on Draenor in Northrend!
Hope: Clawshrimp will still want to do raids / heroics when/if I can persevere to 80.
KHAAAAAAAAN!!: Server's down when I could be levelling!
Le Sigh: Finally had a huge explosion in my guild. Douchebag GL didn't invite me again to Naxx, which is 2 weeks now of no invites. Here's the long story:
Last friday, a group of friends wanted to put together a semi-pug 25-man Naxx, with alts and friends from other top guilds on the server. We had this set up a week in advance. Come friday, Douchebag GL decides he wants to run 10-man Naxx, and demands I drop my plans and attend (I'm the only other tank around these days). When I tell him that I made other plans, he gets pissy and decides to not invite me anymore.
Then I find out that a bunch of the people in the guild agree with him. I mean, wtf people? I choose to make other plans one night, and now I'm ostracized? I guess we'll just forget the 40 or so Titansteel bars I donated to the guild to craft gear.
Oh, and here's the kicker - the person that they've been bringing to replace me isn't in the guild. In fact, 2 weeks ago, he quit the guild in the middle of a run. And who saved the fucking day then? That's right, it was me, who spent hundreds of gold to respec, gem and enchant my tanking gear, so we could continue that night. Yeah, but it's cool to bring him, however I'm a dick.
So last night, I finally brought it up, and now it's been made apparent that I'm no longer welcome in the guild. They didn't kick me, but I won't be raiding with them anymore, that's for sure. The worst part is that I should have left this guild a long time ago. I actually did, and came back for some friends I had in the guild. The stupid thing on my part was that one of the better guilds on the server finally got back to me and invited me 2 hours after I came back to this stinking shitpile of a guild.
Hope: I just applied again to said guild. They're looking for a DK Frost tank/dps. That's me!!! Hopefully, they'll take pity on me again.
I shouldn't be this upset about a game, but damn...it's really ruined my week.
To Ender: Yeah, I know the feeling exactly. I was in a guild that had cool people in it but I was never invited to raids. Now, leaving them was hard but I found a new guild that runs more shit, includes me on most of these runs and is just a kickass guild. So, leaving was definitely the right choice for me.
I don't want to sound like a dick or anything, but...
I'm having trouble believing that not going to one 10-man raid, because you're already scheduled for a 25-man raid, would make the GL and much of the guild turn against you. There's has to be something else to this.
I don't want to sound like a dick or anything, but...

I'm sort've inclined to agree with PierceNeck that there has to be more to this, but on the other hand, this is the internet, where extreme people do extreme things on a regular basis.
Crappy guild leaders are also far more numerous than good ones, because people who usually become leaders are those who simply like to have and visibly demonstrate power any way they can. I was a member of one such guild not too long ago, the implosion of which being what finally gave me the push I needed to dedicate myself to levelling on Draenor.
That's just the thing...I don't know what else. The GL has always had a thing against me, but I seriously do not know why. And the guild...I just can't figure it out. It truly is the whole story.
Okay, maybe not the whole story. I did tear the GL a new asshole in tells, throwing his hypocrisy in his face. I'm sure that didn't help. But I didn't do that until last night.
I dunno, I heard that the GL of Clawshrimp is kind of a dick.
Happiness: Re-specced my shaman from Resto to Enhance. I still have a ton of spell damage gear on though, I know I'm doing it wrong, but it is still really fun to see little dinky hits with my weapons then huge shock and lightning crits that take half of the mobs health.
Hope: I enjoy healing at 80 again. I tried to level as resto, I know hahaha. Trying to heal idiot pugs in instances was way too painful. I fear that I am not a very good healer anymore.
Amused: Our RL posted the damage meter after a wipe on KT last night (at like 5-8%, fucker). I did more damage than KT! I'm a raid boss!
FFFFFFFF: PUG DK dps we brought in rolled Need for the tanking helm off 4 Horsemen (our warrior tank had other business, and our other tank is a druid) and won the roll over me. I run as prot when I'm not raiding you ass! That was a huge upgrade for me!
crafted tank helm is better now anyway
titansteel better than tainted thane's? i don't really see that unless you're starving for HP. I'd take the dodge rating and parry over a tiny bit of defense and 500ish health any day. especially because one is free and the other is a couple thousand gold.
Also, Thanes looks fucking rad, where Titansteel looks like horrible horrible ass.
Sigh: 4 chest tokens drop last night, NONE of them were for my priest. Another week to complete the set.
Hope: Heigan gives me his dress next week.
Happy: Got 2 more achievements done in 25 naxx. The 100 club and the one for Kel (forgot the name of it :P). I am not overly egar to do achievements but kinda neat to start seeing that list get completed.
@Ender
I have seen GL's not like someone and slowly turn the guild against them little by little when said person is not on. I could probably see the GL that night in the raid going "yeah Ender refuses to help us out, he had "better" things to do then help us..."etc etc. Throw in some people who like drama and then your screwed! Anything you say can just be seen as an act of dickery.
Sorry to hear about your drama Ender, though I wish you luck getting into the other guild. Next time your Current GL gets hissy give him some midol for his monthly mansies.

Happy: My Hunter is incredibly fun to play. 78 and counting.
FFF: I didn't play her much during TBC, so she never got a flying mount. My Druid earns enough from Enchanting to afford the cold weather flying, but doesn't have quite enough to afford the regular flying training and a mount aswell The silly thing is, this Hunter had over 4000g by level 76, but I gave that to my Druid so I could get her epic flying. I mean, it was money well spent, but it's kinda unfair for the Hunter.
Hate: Dumb arena system ruining my game time. I just want to level my priest alt this weekend, but no, dumb ass arena is broken and it needs immediate fixing. I wish they had this kind of quick fix ability with things that actually mattered.
Happy: Non WoW related, but I have my uncle's entire house all to myself because he's out of town. Yipee!

Happy: WoW model viewer got fixed and released a version that works with wotlk. Now I can play dress-up until the servers come back ~_~
Sweet!
KHAAAAAAAAAAN: Leveling enchanting at the high end. I can't do any of the vendor-bought enchants yet, so I can rarely mooch skillups off of guildies unless they're enchanting gear for their alts with cheaper versions. I spam Trade and get maybe one or two skillups from noobs per night and a few tips but I am really impatient suddenly and want to be able to buy the vendor stuff. I could just churn out enchants on vellums to save/sell but the prices on the AH for enchanting mats are ridiculous at the moment, because of the patch maybe, I don't know. Maybe I should get back to leveling my druid so I can DE his quest rewards and green drops.

What I did yesterday was buy 10 armor vellums for 8g a piece. Enchant them all with some agility enchant that was orange. It put me at 340 so I can then learn the nine vendor bought enchant I had saved (including Massacre, the new spell power one, and various others). Then I tossed them all on the AH for about 130g. So far 6 of them sold.

Vellums are the best thing that ever happened to enchanting, and they're made by a different profession.
4000g? Grr. My mage has 1500 at 77 not including the 1000 I used on cold weather flying. So damn far away from my epic flying
You'll have lots of gold coming your way in the next three levels. And there are a ton of dailies for rep grinding as well, so lots of gold there. If you're Alliance, I recommend the Frostborn daily. Useless rep (for now) but the quest involves flying eagles against drakes, storm hammers and your eagle gouging out eyes.

My warlock is actually a 450 scribe with lots of leftover ink, so I can keep myself supplied with vellums. But as I said it's the market for enchanting mats that's killing me. I went through my stash of dust and almost all my essences. But everything on the AH is marked up way higher than I'm willing to pay (like, last week it was maybe 3g per dust now it's 5g or more). Fuck those people, I'm not giving them my gold. Kinda hard to farm your own enchanting mats though when the market is dumb so I just have to wait and keep spamming Trade. Maybe since it's the weekend now more people will be selling and prices will drop a bit. Wasn't much dust on the AH the past few nights at all.
Another option is to scan the AH for low cost greens. Or supply cloth to a tailor for greens. If you can keep a steady flow of greens coming at you you'll have all your mats. Except for big dream shards. I rarely get those from DEing.
Edit: I have a friend who grinds a lot. So I asked him if I could buy the greens he gets for a bulk price. Like, 4g per item. Sometimes I hate it when he sends me 12 greens.

Oh god, this.
Back in the day I used to pray for ways to sell enchants on the AH and stuff, so when armor velums came around, I was quite happy. Little did I know how much it would backfire on me. Leveling enchanting right away while leveling to 80 was pretty fucking impossible. Not only have I always been short on gold, but DEing all my rewards didn't help. On top of that, enchants were so costly yet so common since EVERYONE was leveling up that they were being put on velums and into the AH for sometimes a fraction of the price of materials. So not only did I have to take a loss if I wanted to sell any, I had to buy velums at absurd prices unless I gave herbs to my inscriptor friend to make me them.
If it wasn't for my rich friends who came to me for enchants all the time, I may never have made it to 440. I'm glad they lowered the dust/essence costs, but I wish it had been that way from the start.
I actually did what you thought of and leveled my hunter a bit to DE the rewards, but it's not as helpful as it sounds if they're still 70, since early rewards barely produce any materials at all.
Yeah, my druid is 72, he hasn't given me a ton of mats but it's more than NOTHING. I guess I could also go finish Icecrown quests on my main and DE all that stuff now.
I guess if there's one thing I should be happy about, it's that good enchants are no longer rare-ass drops. I think it took me literally 100 Kara runs to get Mongoose.

At this point, really your only option for levelling enchanting is to supply yourself with greens, unless you have someone to do it for you. Keep doing quests, either with your main or your druid (since both are in Northrend), and keep DEing stuff. Enchanting mats are just retardedly expensive and there are just too many enchanters to really get by on selling your services... at least, until you've got the highly-desired enchants.

Sometimes I dislike that though. The drop rates shouldn't have been THAT low but I like having little goals so getting groups for certain instances or farming mobs for patterns is something I'm sad to see go. Handing you everything off a vendor in Dalaran is sorta meh.
I guess it did have that sense of accomplishment to finally get the rare enchant, but when it comes down to it, I am an enchanter, and one of the reasons I am is because I wanted to enchant my own equipment. I don't want my streak of bad luck to force me to get enchants from other people just because I couldn't get Berserking to drop for me. I was also just not a fan of running shitty instances like heroic Arc to get enchants that someone in my guild may ask me for once every so often.
Oh, and fuck the spellpower bracer enchant in BC. Farming the rare drop from a certain type of mob for weeks at a time was something I left behind in Everquest.
I got the BC bracer enchant you meantion in roughly 3 hrs as a Spriest. I couldn't buy the specialty weapon spell damage enchants tho... I never saw either drop.

Fun fact: the guild I run did at least one karazhan run per week since about a month after TBC came out, and we never saw a mongoose until about the time sunwell was released.
Then, when ZA came out, we picked up three executioners on our first run.
