So a movie just came out on dvd and bluray today called Chocolate. Its from Prachya Pinkaew, the guy who did ong bak, so you know its gonna be ridiculous. The plot sounds pretty dumb, its about an autistic girl who is a fighting genius and needs to kick some ass and get money for her sick mom. But who cares about plot, its basically a female version of a tony jaa film.

TASTE THE FUUUUUUURY

and if that doesn't convine you maybe a few clips will make you want to see this

trailer with silly english subtitles
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGjUyu9c8Ng

ridiculous fight scene
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0wvyUI4v4E

and the outtakes, which aren't really outtakes so much as them keeping the cameras rolling after the action scenes and showing people get seriously injured
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjGXsppgFP0

Anywho, yeah, if you love kung fu action movies, this is a must watch. If you don't like the genre, then i just feel sorry for you.

It's a bit more tame than Ong Bak and Warrior King, but everything is a thinly veiled excuse for the retarded girl to kick more ass. It's an excellent film to watch with some friends.

edit: Kung Fu panda was pretty solid.

hell yes it was. if it didn't come out the same year as wall*e, i would have totally called it the best animated film of last year. the action scenes were really well done. shame about the big guest stars having so few lines. like man, i would watch that cast in a regular old movie, no matter the plot.

EDIT: like a seth rogen/jackie chan buddy cop movie with david cross as the funny informant and swearengen as the tough police chief and angelina jolie as the love interest

Look, if I can go to an action movie and use an iPod to drown out the talky bits and then crank up some old-school Megadeth while the action sequences are playing and have it be wrong, well I don't wanna be right.

And this looks like that kind of movie.
