I was going to suggest calling a band 'The Band' but then I remembered that they already exist as well. Along with 'The Who' and 'The Guess Who'. Although, does originality really matter? Calling a band The Band would be pretty great as well.
Hey, I dont know if you remember me, but I was the one running the All Flesh Must Be Eaten Game on the way down.
Anywho, I am super geared for the train trip. Last time I got on in K-Falls but I really want to go down to LA so I can experience the entire awesomeness that is PAX Train.
I would love to do this
I live in Portland so it would be an easy way to get to seattle

Hey, all you happy train people!
Did you know there are at least two members of the cookie brigade riding up with you? I realized some of you might not want to wait all the way to Seattle before you start donating to Child's Play. Would anyone want cookies available early and, if so, are there any particular requests?
Hey, I don't care when people donate. Works for me if people want fresher cookies!
And now, I'm thinking a gauntlet has been thrown regarding just how much chocolate can be packed into flattish single serving baked goods.
You know, now the cookies won't make it to Seattle.
If we eat them on the train we still need to make donations, so that won't make the brigade any less successful.
But it will deprive non-train attendees of nemaihne and my wife's mad baking skillz. Just trying to be fair to everyone here. :P
so bake more than the train goers could possibly eat :P (you may want to consider not packing much else)
other people get to have your delicious cookies, and you get more donations for child's play
HeroQuest acquired! Not sure who had the board last year, but I never got to play. So I've taken matters into my own hands, and purchased a copy off ebay.
Crud didn't realize the tickets were so expensive, and it looks like I'm getting on at Centralia too! (I live serisously right next to Centralia in Chehalis it's twin city, the train tracks where the car will be going past will be less than two blocks from my house.)
At least this time I'll be on the train when it whistles by my house, when I first moved here, I would always wake up due to the noise, now I don't notice it as much. Expect me when we pass soon after to be shouting random stuff about Chehalis you guys don't care about.
And why does this thread title not have anything about Spirit Tracks in it?
As a reminder, I'd love to play the Red Dwarf Roleplaying Game. I have all of the textbooks and a bunch of character sheets, but nobody to play with. I'm also not sure I'd make a great GM so we'd need to find someone who's... well, who's willing to go for it.

Aww I'm currently forced to take the 506 to get to the hotel room in time. I kinda wanted to go swimming before pax and relax before the madness starts friday too.
Anyone else besides slactron going to the byoc? Any tips for carrying a pc onto the train?

Oooh, I'd enjoy playing. But my work ethic is remarkably close to Lister's. Are the character sheets pre-made or do we have to make up Dwarf-esque characters?
Hello West Coast Massive!
Long time no see! Nice to see a few names I recognise still on the train. (For anyone on the train in 2007, I was the Brit. Hi.)
Just thought I'd drop in and say I'm totally trying to get to PAX again this year, but the dollar's got all good again which makes stuff hard! I won't be able to get on the train if I do make it, but I'd love to see you all again - I'll see if I can be there when you guys pull in to Seattle.
Hey there, Maccy!
Sorry about the dollar not keeping pace with the Baht anymore, but if it'll make you feel better we could send you a pig... :P
You are a brave, brave person trying to meet the Coast Starlight- last year it arrived sometime around midnight. You might also try the post PAX dinner that some of the WCTT people are planning to attend as well. Regardless, good luck making the jump across the pond this year!

You make up Dwarf-esque characters. There's a ton of races to choose from, too - Human, Hologram, Cat, Series 3000 Mechanoid, Series 4000 Mechanoid, Hudezen 10 Mechanoid, Dog, Iguana, Kinitawowi, Pleasure GELF, rabbit, Rat/Mouse, Simulant, Vindaloovian GELF, and Wax Droid.
I also have the Series Source Book, which has story outlines for virtually every single character who has ever appeared in the game, as well as game versions of all eight seasons' worth of episodes (and I'm tempted to write my own version of the mission and character stats for the recently aired "Back To Earth").

And I was just about to email you telling you to get your ass over to PAX this year.
Don't fret, Arikado - I'll still be there. And I'm bringing a fuckton of British TV on DVD to watch, too (including the new Red Dwarf three-part special, natch).
It's not definite yet - I currently have about half of the money I need to buy my flight, and that's the only thing I really need to buy soon! I really, really want to be there. A whole bunch of my friends are going so if I don't I'll have to endure their photos and stories about it and that will make me sad

Hope you can make it this year.
You were actually the first PAXgoer I ever met. (First person on the train I talked to, I believe, back in 07.)
Then there was beer before liquor.
And the rest is history...

Hotel bound on PAX Saturday,

So if memes make great shirts,
And Pod Six is Jerks,
Then Moe, Khoo and I had our day.
