Well my parents bought a reasonably affordable TV several years back as well as a really nice cabinet for it, but then they came out with affordable HDTVs that are hells of widescreen and all that. So they're in the situation I just mentioned, basically.
My parents solved that problem my extending the tv shelf out slightly and have the widescreen bits of the tv poking out the side.

That sounds... ridiculous.
Nah it doesn't look too bad, but that's mainly because the wall unit just sits in the corner and it's a single row of units. If it was one that went all over the wall it would look silly.
if i had a TV that filled a wall i would wait until someone was passing it by and then turn on a giant picture of a spider or a snake or a spider riding a flying snake

i think that fancy 103 inch panasonic or whatever would jusstttt fill the wall nicely in my parent's livingroom

Well, I was in the UK, Mori's in the Bay Area (of all the places in the world, I pick one that's more expensive than the UK)
My boss has a nice 4 bedroom, but judging by her neighbour's for sale sign it cost her a cool $1.2 million
My parents' house is actually quite large, enough for all of their 6 kids to have their own rooms, but the roof recently caved in, they've had the most awful damp problems (I was always scrubbing my walls), the kitchen had to be redone and the decor was very out-of-date.
...soooo yes, I am always going to be living in a shoebox.

I have noticed that my bed HEIMDAL the full size version is pretty famous.
I saw it in some episodes of Forbidden Science, 40 days 40 nights some various porn that I cant remember right now and some other TV shows. So its like sleeping with a celebrity every night.
