For the last year or so, I've been trying to read some Harry Turtledove books, but...

Isn't Turtledove supposed to be awful?
Also I am enjoying Count Zero for what it is. I'm diggin' Newmark's chapters the most, and something about the writing in Turner's chapters is a little off. But it's still pretty good.
In addition, I may reread to forever war in an attempt to evaluate why everyone loves it so much but I felt so meh at the end.
Trust me when I say, you will get some kind of bone by the time you reach A Feast For Crows.
A huge bone.
I still don't like that one as much partly because I had to start to give a shit about almost entirely new characters
Same here. I mean, I still loved it, but it was sorta dissapointing.
Jon Snow is still my favorite. I can't remember precisely how it ended for him, though, which means I need to reread the series for the third or fourth time.

Oh yeah
I'm really stoked to see where that goes
[edit] Interestingly, I am least stoked about Dany's story, but very interested in what Jorah is gonna do
so the dresden files remains highly enjoyable almost a year since i read them last except i tend to skip over most of the description of women and harry's boners because it's kind of lame
but i'm really glad to see shank fagging up the book thread cause he don't like something

The only thing about the Dresden Files is after only reading four books I've gotten very tired of reading "an effort of will" or any such mild variations.

Actually don't because you'd miss Death Masks and that's important plot-wise and it's one of my favorites
