Seriously quick concepts done in like 20-30 mins. I been so busy with real-life stuff since I'm trying to get this contract job. With on the job training, scrambling to get my shit together.

Can't decide between candles or sticks with moth guy, probably will pencil later. Probably wont have any time to.

Studies tonight with some Haida design inspired monsters when i get a breather.

    FFFFFFFF

I'd go with sticks. Candles there seem impractical enough to me that it'd render the concept unbelievable. Seriously nice work, though. Both that and the buggy mount. :)

Ahh thanks guys, I'm actually going to do incense instead of sticks.
I figured the sticks because since the rest of his outfit is kind of flowy the sticks just seem jarring and stiff to the rest of everything and draws your attention to his head with the contrast.

Also I might have him tlak lkie tihs. Sncie pleope can raed tihs, except I do not know how it is on dsylexics and I talk to 3 of them.

When you read a word, like you are now, you read the spaces inbetween the letters and you read each word as a whole. Just make sure the beginning letter and last letter are in the same place.

Wcihh is why cazry sftuf lkie tihs wrkos.

This is all great. You seem to be using lots of good tricks (the muscle placement diagrams with the balls and sticks, mnemonics made of silly images/words, lots of colours etc). Might I also suggest translating those muscle names? Some of them are genuinely helpful to know, and they do aid in memorisation (simple example, biceps and triceps mean twoheads and threeheads respectively, and I'm sure you can guess why. Supination is to lie on one's back and pronation is to lie on one's front - hence pronator and supinator, etc etc etc).

I used to get those confused until I heard the ridiculous meme "supine on your spine, prone on your bone". After that it always weirded me out how D&D had rules for being prone - apparently no one ever fell down facing up.

Another really good exercise. DRaw the cross sections of the limbs.. meaning.. if you cut the humerus in half draw the triceps biceps humers brachiallis etc.. from the top down view. Really helps you understand the way the muscles create 3d form.

also the deltoid wedges into the brachialis

Youve draw it going either in front or behind the brachialis.

Kinda nit picky but if you looked at the brachialis by itself at the top of it there is a little notch where the triangle end part of the deltoid fits into.

    hammerbig.jpg
Unfortnately this drawing doesnt clearly illustrate the triangle shape but I dont feel like taking a picture of my gold finger book

Alot of anatomy books have that wrong simply because people keep learning it wrong. I guess its really not a big deal since very few people would know or care...

OH THANKS SO MUCH KEN. No seriously my deltoid looks just lazily lumped on compared to this so thanks alot. Actually I learned ALOT about muscles when I started researching on robotics more ( i have to because alot of my designs involve it) And how everything acts like a pulley system.

    1000.14569.26524.bionic_arm.jpg

But then again medical science nowadays is really fucking cool. Who doesn't want to learn more about it?

But ahh I'll try the 3d thing when i get some freelancing out the way. I'm doing all the art for this boardgame for Catalyst Games ( they did shadowrun ect ect and im doing a kind of monopoly kind of boardgame all on my own. Board, Cards, Rulebook, Cover. All my work.)

    rhythmgesture1.gif
    rhythmgesture2-1.gif
    rhythmgesture3.gif

Watched Glen Vilppu's lecture about the human gesture and had alot to say about rhythm so i drew the little examples he had as dragonflies and fucked around with gradients to see what would be most suiting and ect.
    carldobperspective.gif
    carldobperspective2.gif
Also Carl Dobsky makes grids so simply easy. I could do this is i was drunk now.

Also getting ready for San Diego/Hawaii soon fuck yeauh. Checking out Watts on the 24th.
Now I got to go and masticate thoroughly before getting some work done.

Yeeup! Called him around 3 my time, noon you guys time. Yesstteerddaaay.

Guy knows how to talk ( I was on the phone for like an hour but he sounds reall energetic) but really he offered a lot of mindful tips of what you guys do there and the heritage of the place and why the schools foundations will carry out through everything you do. He also talked about Chiaroscuro and Rileys method which I'm on the ball with so when I come down I'm not totally clueless. Told him I'll probably be interested 7 classes in the summer then move up to the next classes after that in the Fall.

So I'll be at Watts around 3pm on the 24th being shown a tour. He wants me to call him when I get into town though. Just look for the chick with poptart crumbs probably on her fat manly head.
