Coulda' sworn it was still around. I'll have to check on that when I get home.
EDIT: Hmmm, I guess google doesn't show it. Too bad.
yeah it died a few weeks ago finally, the comic has been dead for awhile ago while the creator was at college or something.
It was a great comic though, I was sad when he stopped it.
The problem is that he started doing the comics for someone else's site (right about the time stop doing GwtBw), TGSA, which is really a spin-off of his original comic.
I gave the demo a 2nd shot this weekend. I took a more deliberate approach in choosing stuff to buy and making sure I had at least 1 guy digging at all times. I took fewer casualties and more often than not just ran out of time due to the 6 minute limit. But I'm still not convinced it's worth $18 knowing it's not really done, and may never be truly finished. I think I would pay $20 for a completed version of the game. I would pay much higher for a version with online play.
Nah, there have been other games with destructible environments like this that had online play. The hard part would how to get more than two people in a game, and how to get maps ready from before you launch
1) buy 4 - 5 soldiers and place them at the chokepoints of your barracks.
a) give them shotguns
2) shoot the transports in the engine. the results are always funny. bonus points if you get out of the way of it crushing you too.
I have not yet played a game where i didnt rush about looking for the landing pods and kerplowing the engines all over. the 2nd best thing i have ever seen was i shot one out of the sky and the engines shot off like bottlerockets. when the next pod came in, they slammed into it and made paste of my clone soldier.
This game hit version 1.0 and is on Steam now. It's still as great as it's always been, and has a functional campaign thing now that's actually pretty fun!
And if you bought the old version you can get a Steam key too, so you don't have to worry about finding their support page and your product key to get new versions anymore!

Example of said comic:
Steam Name: Dr.Oblivious
If you can't live for the now, at least live for the future.
Sad but this game would totally suck without destructible environments.

Yeah, pretty much this.
Protip; Just stick with their modding forums and only look for pertinent information.
That said, in order to limit my exposure, what stuff is good/compatible with the latest version of the game?
