There was this momma cat and two kittens I saw when walking to work one night and it was so cute they were all scared and running away and one of the kittens bonked its head right into a store's door. I was just haha aaaaaaaw.

We had one that hung out near our house. We took her in for the winter (roommate named her Kaylee after the Firefly character). She was smaller like a lot of strays, but she didn't put up with any bullshit at all. If you even petted her nicely when she wanted to be left alone, she'd start hissing and swiping at you. She was sweet most of the time though.
In the spring, I once saw her following a woman into a townhouse across the street. We never asked, so we're not sure if we kid(cat)napped her for a winter, or if she was just a food slut, getting it wherever she could.

Last year, my then-girlfriend was feeding a stray in out apartment parking lot. One day the cat showed up with motor oil on her and we said 'to hell with this' and made plans to take her to the shelter we volunteered at to get her fixed and a checkup. I showed up with a trap and blanket, ready to outsmart what I assumed to be a feral.
She (the girl) looks at me like I'd sprouted an extra chromosome, kneels down and calls the cat who runs over and practically jumps into her arms.
