    I don't see why not. But maybe things like facial hair aren't actually metal, but crystalline deposits that can accumlate and grow over time...

    I know, I'm wanking. I'm just trying to ignore the suck of the movie and bounce ideas for how to make some of its more interesting concepts work on an even vaguely scientific basis.

    So the movie version is in fact the same character as the comic version, and not just an alternate character like the various Optimuses and Megatrons and such

    Yup, as are all of the original 13. Though I thought I remember them originally saying that each continuity could only have 1 of the 13, then they changed it to that explanation when bay went and stole the Fallen.

    He was just mentioned at one point as President Obama moving to an undisclosed location. I think that means he got permission to use his name, as opposed to making up a fictional character.

    If we're following Unicron's example, no. It'd take more then just his body being taken out to put him down permanently.

    I read through the reviews on rotten tomatoes and I guess I just don't get how people could dislike the movie that much. I thought the jokes were cheesy. I thought the twins were pretty blatant stereotypes. I know there wasn't much to the story, but dammit if I wasn't laughing and enjoying myself with the rest of the theater full of people.
