I also tried 20080324l.jpg
and 20080324h.jpg
and 20080324l.gif
and 20080324h.gif
They all show up blank if navigated to directly, but what's weird is I don't get a File Not Found error... just a blank image. And the browser seems to know what the image's pixel dimensions are supposed to be.
This is less of a broken comic and more of a broken news link, but I wasn't sure where else to post this.
On the news page of the comic "This is an Allegory"(Wednesday, August 25th, 2004), Tycho links to a news website or something in the line, "You might already have read about those tragic events on Naboo".
It does not take you to the intended location, it takes you to Meatspin.com. Which is not a nice thing when you're by yourself, let alone if your mother and 10 year-old sister are in the room.

Oh that sucks.
Thanks for letting me know. I'm not sure what to do, but I'll ask around.
Here's an interesting one. I opened the comic archive and the first thing on the drop down menu is 07/09/2009 Los Problemas, which I'm assuming is tomorrow's comic.
EDIT: Nevermind, I guess it was intended. CARRY ON!
Umm...so I think there is a problem with a comic or three.
I can't see the following comics in so much as the page displays as normal but where the comic should be is the "no-image-available-red-cross-on-a-white-background" symbol thingy.
The newest comic, Automata, Page Two, isn't loading for me. First I thought it just hadn't been uploaded yet, but I can see it over in the SE++ new comic thread.
This is a bug with our new caching system. The system was designed to be used with the new website, but we had to push it into production a little bit early. As a result we sometimes cache a 404 response longer than we should.
Posts
I don't know why the issue url doesn't work, but the permalink does. I'll investigate it and fix it soon.
Fixed. Thanks Jay!
I'm ignoring these for now as they were "published" on the wrong date.
I'll make another pass through and fix the double comics at a later date.
I actually don't have titles for these. I'll check against Book 1 and add them later.
I am recovering them, it is just taking some time because the format of the old posts was rather... unstructured.
@gamefacts - Totally and utterly true gaming facts on the regular!
All the comics still link to:

Instead of the separate images:

Pressing next on

takes you to

but pressing back on

takes you to

Seriously, this could cause the end of the world. END OF THE FREAKING WORLD!

Strange it would be those two so often.
They eork on the beta site though
Loading up the page in IE7 results in the broken images though.
Given that it's only an issue with the current site I don't know how high this will be on the list of things to invest time into though.
It looks like it's available at http://penny-arcade.com/images/2009/20090731.jpg, but not http://www.penny-arcade.com/images/2009/20090731.jpg. In case it's not apparent at first glance, one has no www. in the URL and the other does.
EDIT: It's showing normally now. Just ignore this post.
