Why? Because they have some beliefs that are wildly unpopular? Yeah, because they have what look like weird beliefs about sex and drugs, they must be boring. What would make you think that? If anything, they're likely much more interesting, as they clearly don't need the help of any of that stuff to have a good time. People who abstain from those things are generally more interesting, because they generally achieve the same goal (be entertained) with a smaller set of tools.

Honestly if I were to have a conversation with someone, I'd prefer a sober person who's been able to keep himself entertained with the use of drugs, because those people generally have to do things like read and learn and explore ideas that can be discussed with others, since they don't have a chemical intoxicant to provide the mental stimulation that they need. I mean, unless they have some major brain damage, it's not like they just stare at a wall for fun, so it's likely that they've developed more interesting skills and knowledge.

Everybody has some line, something where, if they had the physical power to do so, they would stop other people from taking certain actions.
