I'd have to say my favourite Disney films are definitely Hercules, Aladdin, and the Great Mouse Detective. All the others in the lists are great, or at least the ones that I've seen, but those ones are just special to me.

I tried to watch Pinnochio again but fell asleep towards the end
and I always zone out during that love song in Robin Hood but I love the A POX ON THE PHONY KING OF ENGLAND
I love Dumbo though, that might be #11 on my list... minus the ridiculously racist crows, but then again Peter Pan was worse in racism than plenty of others put together
man you know what I like the lion king 2 just fine

Aladdin is also the only Disney movie to have a decent sequel.
Hell.
It's that sequel that spawned all other Disney sequels.
Everything related to Aladdin was pretty wonderful. The first sequel wasn't that great, but the second more than made up for it.
Shame about the Hercules animated series, though. It just didn't click with me at all. Neither did any other Disney sequels or animated series spun off the movies.
I'm always completely oblivious to racism, and then it's pointed out to me and I feel especially bad because I didn't even see it, and that seems to make things worse

Return of Jafar is only redeemable because they made King of Thieves right afterwards
I'm always completely oblivious to racism, and then it's pointed out to me and I feel especially bad because I didn't even see it, and that seems to make things worse
I know that by now I've forgotten the racism from the older films, most of my favourites are the more modern ones.
Do you know what one of my favourite Disney scenes was
At the end of Bedknobs and Broomsticks, when she creates that army, that was great
and my worst scene
is fuckin' Mary Poppins when they use an American robin in London

I'm always completely oblivious to racism, and then it's pointed out to me and I feel especially bad because I didn't even see it, and that seems to make things worse
Peter Pan : the Native Americans, particularly the song WHY IS THE RED MAN RED... you can't tell me you missed that
Dumbo : as mentioned, the crows sitting up on the wire after Dumbo passes out from getting so drunk (yeah you heard me)
oh god what else
Aristocats : the entire singing scene with the Siamese cat and the black cat... it's a good song but oh god
Aladdin: the merchant... I get what they were trying to do here but they really toed the line on this
Mulan wasn't all that bad, racism wise... the Emperor was a bit much but everyone else was surprisingly unoffensive
I'm always completely oblivious to racism, and then it's pointed out to me and I feel especially bad because I didn't even see it, and that seems to make things worse
I know that by now I've forgotten the racism from the older films, most of my favourites are the more modern ones.
Any particular examples?
Actually the example I recalled to mind is non-Disney
I mentioned once about a year ago on another forum that one of my favourite books was The 39 Steps
and someone criticised me explaining how extremely anti-semitic it was and I should be ashamed
I hadn't even considered the possibility!

I dunno about the newer ones, honestly. They're honestly nowhere near as bad as the racism from the older movies, you'd have to be an oversensitive PC-obsessed prick to get offended by the modern stuff.
The old stuff was REALLY bad. Like, Skip and Mudflap in Transformers 2 bad.
Posts
1) lion king
2) lady & the tramp
3) 101 dalmatians
4) I guess beauty and the beast
5) maybe aladdin
oh shit how did I forget jungle book and robin hood (roger miller was a boss)
and for that alone it should be burned and forgotten
and I always zone out during that love song in Robin Hood but I love the A POX ON THE PHONY KING OF ENGLAND
I love Dumbo though, that might be #11 on my list... minus the ridiculously racist crows, but then again Peter Pan was worse in racism than plenty of others put together
#3 was totally better than #2 though, just because Robin Williams came back
really the whole trilogy was surprisingly good
Aladdin and the King of Thieves, come on man
#2 was direct release to video, #3 came out in theaters and I never actually had a chance to watch it.
To this day, it is my regret.
the fact that they threw in Prince John constantly sucking him thumb
and that entire scene at the fair
those things alone makes Robin Hood awesome
the end was so scary for me though
Everything related to Aladdin was pretty wonderful. The first sequel wasn't that great, but the second more than made up for it.

Do you want these added all as shitty?
Because The Jungle Book, Winnie the Pooh, and The Rescuers are great
I mean
not good at all
but not bad
are you suggesting that Robin Hood was shitty?
it was alright, but it doesn't excuse Cinderella 2
The Jungle Book 2
Bambi 2
The Lion King 2, 3, 1 1/2
I am pretty sure these are all under the "good" section
otherwise CD is looking for a punch in the mouth
FUCKING HELL
as I was talking about catching up on films I'd missed
I love all of those movies, why would you think different
there was no lion king 3
I could understand this if you hadn't also listed lion king 1 1/2

Spitting image
first one is hamlet
two is romeo and juliet
1.5 is rosencrantz and guildenstern are dead
I'm not that familiar with Robin Hood or Oliver, and I've blended Rescuers and Down Under together in my head
But this is a list of great movies, and I don't know why you'd then on a shit list
Peter Pan : the Native Americans, particularly the song WHY IS THE RED MAN RED... you can't tell me you missed that
Dumbo : as mentioned, the crows sitting up on the wire after Dumbo passes out from getting so drunk (yeah you heard me)

how did i never notice this
it's so fucking obvious
