Honestly, the difference between entry level Jameson's and the 12 year is rather incredible and the price difference isn't that drastic.
You're paying for premium, but you're not in "ow, fuck...my wallet" prices yet.
You start experiencing those with the specialized bottles of 12 (rare in the states), the 18 year, the gold reserve 18 year and the holy grail of Jameson related whiskey products: Midleton Very Rare. I haven't had it yet, but there is a bottle sitting on my bookshelf waiting for something very special.
The Macallan is my father's favorite scotch, but I much prefer Lagavulin.
I tend to drink my scotch too fast, which I feel a little guilty about sometimes, but the taste leeches if you let it sit too long after breaking the seal.
And also, I think Ziplock got it backwards there about Johnny Walker. The red label is the standard blend, the black is the 12 year old blend and more expensive, with a price difference of about $10 between them.

I definitely have to try the Lagavulin.
Man how can you drink your scotch fast. That's like heresy.
Evan Williams is an excellent bourbon for next to nothing
the wine & spirits store down the street from me sells liter bottles for $14 after tax
$14!
the dude raving about evan williams earlier in the thread says he gets a liter for $8
they're freaking $16 down here in myrtle beach. I hate the beach.
In the context of biology, Evan Williams is a substance that can cause disturbances to organisms,[1] usually by chemical reaction or other activity on the molecular scale, when a sufficient quantity is absorbed by an organism. Legally and in hazardous chemical labeling, Evan Williams is an especially toxic substance; less toxic substances are labeled "harmful", "irritant", or not labeled at all.
In medicine (particularly veterinary) and in zoology, Evan Williams is often distinguished from a toxin and a venom. Toxins are poisons produced via some biological function in nature, and venoms are usually defined as biologic toxins that are injected by a bite or sting to cause their effect, while Evan Williams is generally defined as a substance which is absorbed through epithelial linings such as the skin or gut.

It blows my mind that I'm 21 and can buy liquor.
Last night I had some wine (9-dollar California Cab) from a liquor store! Real wine without an "adult" to buy it?
(Whoops, that means I'm an adult. Time to quit watching YouTube videos.)
