Fucken sucks if that shit happens. Why are you acting wounded over it? Wouldn't presenting a strong front (I.E. i don't care what you think of me) be more constructive than being whiny? Do what all the other minoritites have had to do - suck it up and tough it out. Shit will get better eventually, but for a while you will be fighting conservative douchebags. A positive outlook may help in the meantime.

I am inclined to agree with this. If you act like it isn't a big deal, people will think it's less of a big deal. Which is what it should be: not a big deal or really anyone else's business.

There's always gonna be douchebags, but if you act like you don't think what you're doing is unusual or special, they'll have less ammunition.

Edit: Obviously that won't help people stop getting murdered immediately, which is awful and inexcusable, but it will help change peoples' thoughts, which will eventually change peoples' behaviors.

Who says I don't have a positive outlook? Also, fuck you for assuming I don't do anything constructive about it.

Teefs, arguing with noobs like me over the internet is not being constructive.

Oh. A polo shirt. I see.
    He's talking about these things.

Ha ha ha they're trying to build business, not restrict themselves to a dying market share.
    :^:

Man what can you wear a polo with? Can't add a tie. Looks stupid with a sport coat. Polos are all "yep look at this it's the only thing I got on my upper body just a lonely shirt." I guess they just aren't for me maaaaann I like accessories too much

Also we sure failed at changing the topic huh
I sometimes wear a light sweater vest with it. Matter of fact, it's what I'm doing right now. It's probably unfashionable and faintly ridiculous, but that suits me just fine.

I need more casual button-up shirts. Also, more tees. I'm a fan of polos, but I've been wearing them most of my life and I feel like a stereotypical nerd most times I wear them.

maybe a little but the whole "first party" thing is kinda neat and if it's a well made polo...

...not that I have anywhere to wear it to, but by golly I'll make it work. I also probably won't be buying anything like this for a couple months, but oh well.

I just....don't really like polos. It's a kind of clothing that I've never really worn or enjoyed. I also don't really play video games that much either, though, so I guess this shirt is super-extra not-for-me. I agree that the fabric looks pretty comfy.

I'm sorry to derail my derailed thread by being on topic, but to answer a few questions:

    - Yes we'll likely be adding other colors once we get some more data on what people want. The 4 colors selected are the initial basic set and go well with a lot of ensembles. We also know that this product isn't exactly what most of our readers are used to (which is totally fine!), so we felt that the safe colors for this initial push was the right call to at least get folks comfortable with the concept.

    - What do they go with? They go with most everything in a business casual environment. They're not meant to be going uh... clubbing... or something... since i know that's what we uh all do and stuff. I wear one every day with jeans.

    - As far as pricing goes, what it comes down to is that these are expensive to make. Polos do get to be pretty pricey (up to $100 pretty easily), but based on what we pay for production, $40 was what we considered to be pretty reasonable. But hey, at the end of the day, if you're not the type of person to pay $40 for a garment, I'm not going to argue with you. You're just not that type of person, no worries. :)

think about it man you're about to go wheelin' and say to yourself "man what is the shirt I care about least that I can blast through the mud in?"

or you need a way to quickly turn it into a rag-shirt without outright saying "honey that shirt you got me sucks it is now a rag"

am I being too harsh on polos they really aren't that bad. Also $40 is not a lot for a well made shirt, especially if they are made in the US (Where are they made?)

Well khoo, what are you're thoughts on striped polos? Like, big stripes, not little lines. I'd really like something like that if only for the more color! You could keep it simple with a grey/color of your choice pattern, or if for some magical reason your consumer base just exploded with the need for polos a huge selection of colors would just be neato.
