Ironically, I am kicking myself that Mike is not Adamant because that is now twice that he has narrowly missed the OHKO.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised that you wanted a Jolly Magikarp, Munkus.
I'm more than willing to provide an Adamant one if you'd prefer it.
Ink, I shall watch the shit out of those battles when I get back. I want to see MIKE in action.
Also: Bulky sweepers are the best tanks. Really. Tanks are a necessary evil, and yet... I have so many. But I use about three.
Now someone needs to upload that to youtube so I can watch it.
RockinX! You know what to do.
But make sure to upload the one where I win.
Once that happens I'll post the video where I beat BlueBlue followed by my Victory over Munkus
and then I'll gloat undeservedly until I've made everyone quit this game!
Should I upload it without subtitles? I mean, everyone here already know the animations.

RE: leftovers, I would have no problem using only one if there were any other good defensive items. There's, like, maybe a Lum Berry, or a weakness-defending berry. But even those aren't good for walls because they're one-time only. They're better suited to Pokemon that need to be vulnerable for a turn while they set up.
Also I don't know if it got noticed or not but I'm claiming the Flying Gym.
How many custom rules are you allowed to have? Because banning Stealth Rock is gonna be a must, but I'm also not too happy at the prospect of ice attacks.

There doesn't seem to be consistency in the guidelines yet, but you should be allowed to use two of your mates outside your main type if both of them carry a move of that type. As for rock and ice weaknesses, there's Gliscor and Gyarados.
I haven't seen Eeveelution shape the league in a solid form yet though. I suppose I can volunteer to set up ground rules sometime later in the day.
I'm probably going to be making the Ice Gym a Double Battle gym. But that probably doesn't come as a surprise to most.

Oh dang, I totally forgot Gyarados is flying. Yeah that covers me then.
Probably gonna go something like, Gliscor, Gyarados, Skarmory, Yanmega, Staraptor, and maybe Togekiss.
hmm, are we mono-typing it, or having 2 safeguard types that have to use a type move of the gym?
Because the only two I've settled on is Glalie and Froslass

The weird thing about Electric is that the first 3 or 4 pokemon are really obvious choices but now I have to find two more and it's requiring a lot of though.
Yeah, gym leaders need wildcards to take care of the obvious weaknesses. A system where we have wildcards that know a move of the gym's type like in our old gyms would be nice.

I think I'm going to have to stop using Jim for a while because I think way too many of you guys are expecting exactly what he'll do, thus ending half the fun of Jim.

Also, I really like the SE++ idea of having people use a set team to do the Gym-Leader challenge.
Or at least a set team with a couple sideboard pokes.

My tentative Steel Gym, which will be ready by tonight:

The sideboard idea very much reminds me of the side-decks from various TCG's, wherein you entered the tournament with a set deck but had 15 or so cards you could swap out each game or round depending on your strategy.
Obviously you'd probably only have 1-3 sideboard pokes but the idea in itself is quite interesting.

I think the way it is planned in there is your 6 main pokes, then you have 6 alternates which you can't change once you pick them.

Specifically, the SE idea is that you have two teams.
Team A and team B.
You can have the same poke be on team A and team B, but you only have two completed teams to choose from.

The answer to Starmie is to somehow get Yanmega out safely and outspeed it.
That or, I think I have a pretty interesting and unconventional build for one of my flyers that will be able to take it by surprise.
Protect + Speed Boost BOOM.
Oh sure, I mean switching it in in the first place. I don't think there's a way without either being incredibly lucky with prediction or coming in after a kill, both of which are sub-optimal solutions.

I thought what they meant by that was that you had basically twelve pokemon at any given point which seemed like a lot.
The way I see it being is something like you have 8 or so pokemon in your "pool" that you're using for gym battles and for each gym you can assemble a team of 6 from those 8. An 8 or 9 pokemon pool I think strikes a balance between not enough choice, and too much for the gym leader to handle.
e: I forgot to post the question I originally wanted to ask; about how long does it take to speedrun to the end game for platinum? Is it like Diamond still where I can basically clear the entire game with my starter, the Shinx line of evolution, and the Starly line of evolution?
Also I don't know if it got noticed or not but I'm claiming the Flying Gym.

Which would you choose for yourself? Lapras or Poliwrath.

Oh fuck. I totally forgot that Jumpluff is Flying!
http://www.audioentropy.com/
Eh? I'd probably go with a standard four pokemon on both teams, with the last two slots covering different weaknesses of the first four.
So team A would be: 1,2,3,4,5,6
And team B would be: 1,2,3,4,7,8
