Yeah they already mentioned the multiplayer. But I think TFS thought it was a free add-on. But it is looking like the multiplayer will be part of the expansion.
I've been looking at some walkthroughs and apparently I was supposed to track down the cursed ship right away to get the recipe. I didn't do that, so do I have to restart the mission? I can't find where the ship went or anything. The game didn't say I failed so there must be some way to still beat the mission.
A magician gives you a ring that, when worn, will let you see the world as it truly is.
However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.
i really liked this game
but now when i play a bunch of textures are black
hrm

Do you have an ATI graphics card?
Update your drivers, patch the game.

So, Venice. Nobody brick and mortar wise is carrying it up here apparently, which blows, but I figure no biggie, I'll just get the steam version for 20 bones except THE STEAM VERSION DOESN'T WORK WITH THE RETAIL BASE GAME

naw that's not how steam registration works, you can add any game to steam for purposes of having the steam overlay turned on while playing a game but steam won't actually accept CD Keys from most games so you won't have the steam version of the game that works with the steam version of the expansion.
Thankfully i didn't buy Venice as I noted the big "you must have the steam version of dawn of discovery for this expansion to work" warning text
Dang it, I need to buy this so I can play the fuck out of it for two weeks and then forget I own it like I did the last one.
When I look at it, each scenario even in vanilla (e.g. elector, diplomat, guild master) would take me about 8 hours to do, each! Even elector, the easiest took me about 6. The amount of content is staggering, which is why I just keep dipping in & out of this relaxing, slow paced game.
It's a game that requires you to be in no rush to even have enough patience to play it.
I wish I could find the sheet music for this game. The new "Venice" main theme is especially nice. It's a lovely flowing piece in a spritely compound time.
Need more co-op players to fight the dreaded Germans...
And in case you were wondering, yes co-op >>>>>>>>>> single player.
Hilarity ensues as you click on one of your towns and see that the single house fire has now become an inferno because you thought your partner was dealing with the problem, and your partner thought you were dealing with it.
Also why is this here and not G&T? Took forever to find.

(I gots the steam version of both)
You can play the six vanilla scenarios in both Venice & the original
You cannot play the campaign in Venice.
Hence you are only missing the campaign if you run Venice & not the vanilla exe
I bought 1701 AD right before I found out about this game on steam, so I'm reluctant to buy it if it's not all that different.
Welp nevermind the disk is all scratched up so I guess I'll have to get 1404.
the solution is of course to tax the fuck out of the peasents
FUCK YOU
i cant stop playing this freaking game lol
6/8 I think.
Looks like I have a new favourite, along with Jeper Kyd for video game composers.
