    the colleges here are mostly state run. that's nice.

    I am talking about the schools that are basically : "pay us a few thousand dollars!"

    Which the good ones in Germany aren't.

    Studying for example costs me about 1200 Euro a year. That does definitely not cover what I cost the university. The real chunk of the cost is covered by the tax payer. :)
