How does one test for allergies? I assume it would be some sort of scientific process, but in my mind it's just a couple of guys in lab coats, a patient strapped to a chair and a box full of random objects.
"Okay, lets try this cat."
"Nope, nothing."
"Peanut-butter"
"No."
"Okay, what if we smeared peanut-butter on the cat and..."
That's more or less correct.
They stab you in the arm in various spots with a minor amount of whatever chemical they are trying to get a reaction out of, then they wait a day and see what happens.
No joke, this is what they do.
Turns out they didn't know I was allergic to grass! And they use a lot of different grass samples in the test!

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
I'm allergic to a lot of fresh fruits (cherries, strawberries (only a little bit, now), mangoes, peaches, plums, nectarines, sometimes cantaloupe and honeydew melon) . If they're cooked, though, I'm fine.
Also cats...but my roommate's cat may be building my immunity

Wow... I would expect there would be a lot of chemicals to test too; how long did it take?
Actually, the surgery part of it was pretty cool. I was awake and aware, but paralyzed, and I couldn't feel any pain. I got to see my own lung.
e: After they closed me up though, I got really hot and started vomiting everywhere. Lost a few of my staples and ended opening the incision on my leg because of it. The incision being to my femoral artery for a catheter. Fun times. Fun times.

Aaaaaaugh, bizarre. Did that freak you out at all? Did you feel your lung being moved around [edit] I just assumed that it'd have to be moved around somehow for you to see it from the supposed angle I'm imagining your head being....[/edit]

I am allergic to happiness and love and anything sweet
edit: also if i was in DDV's position I would of immediately starting saying "no no your doing it all wrong, here give me the sharp pointy scizzors thing" and start asking them questions until they make me pass out again
I don't know who was saying Ponyo didn't stack up to the other Ghibli movies, but they were wrong.
It seemed him in a lot of parts but I don't know it just felt different from his other movies, maybe because it didn't deal with flight theme he usually kept with his movies.
Speaking of stuff, we're going to watch Porco Rosso tonight! We being feebsicle, mully, Campion, Kochikens and me (I have seen it already, so has Campion and Kochi).

But hey, I'm just saying I liked Ponyo just as much as Spirited Away which most would agree is top tier. And I definitely liked it better than Howls Moving Castle, which I didn't like that much.

I'm eating a mystery roll from a vietnamese shop. It is booby trapped with an unknown ingredient that is incredibly hot. You never know which bite will explode it's lava-like contents into your mouth.
Wooohoo! I just rocked my english midterm this morning and my biochem exam just now! Now just a psych exam tomorrow morning and I'm free of tests until Monday!

That was...an interesting surgery.

That's not an experience I would describe as "pretty cool", I would be more inclined to illustrate it as a "waking nightmare of titanic proportions"
And it was pretty scary at the time. But now I look at it as a unique experience.
I mean, how many people can say they've seen their own lung.
nope, that's awesome
especially since DDV couldn't feel any pain
you're just trying to kill me now
Its all for you baby.
fun fact: i have never not had pet cats, and ive also had all those other animals as pets!
basically my body is engineered to not go outside, ever.

You know that old saying "you'll find it when you aren't looking?"
yeah, it's kind of true.
