the real joke here is that while Adobe keeps blaming Apple, even if Apple said"yeah, sure, have at it", Adobe's perpetually-in-beta ARM flash client still wouldn't work on anything lower than a 3GS because it needs a super-beefy Cortex A8 or higher processor.

I don't miss Flash a great deal on my iPhone. It wouldn't run very well and I hate using Flash websites to begin with.
It will never have Flash. Jobs hates it with a passion. And while I disagree fundamentally with the policies that will keep flash off the device, I'm not shedding a single tear for that bullshit runtime.

It really does. That's why some people are happy that the iPad doesn't have it, but supports HTML5 and CSS3, hoping that will push the web past Flash.
But it probably won't, and iPad users are just gonna get fucked in the end.

I think you're completely wrong. Already we're dismissing flash out of hand for new projects because we'd have to do work over to hit the largest segment of mobile web users.
