The Mechanized Orks take their first win in a very close game with Huntzy. Some bad luck on his dice rolls and a bit of good luck at the end got me the win at 5Kp to 4Kp.
Hero of the game was the KFF Mek, who saved numerous glances and a couple of pens.
Zero of the game was Huntzy's dice, which couldn't seem to do anything but shake the battlewagon.
The end was really tense, because I was down by a KP, and had the shaken lootas hop out of the wagon to try and melee down his Priest + Melta ASM while the BW Deff Rolla'd his Assault Cannon Razorback. After rolling a 1 for the d6 hits with the Deff Rolla, I got lucky and wrecked it. It would have been a draw if that one die roll had been different.
Great game Huntzy, look me up in the future if you wanna play again!

I realize that I never put my army blocks up in the thread: Here's my army so far-
Okay, so I get the joy to publish the closest game I have played in ages. It came down to a... TIE 5 KP to 5 KP!
So the first three turns were more maneuvering than fighting with the first wound coming a set of long fangs who would lashed into flaming death from my plague marines in their rhino. From there the slaughter began. It started with my meltas stunning a rhino. The insides assaulted my prince who had one wound left from the long fang fire. He dies but takes a couple down with him. The next turn my greater demon comes out to play. He assaults the grey hunters who killed the prince. Then kind of wiffs it up and takes some wounds. But that fight will continue till turn 5. My nurgle rhino was popped and so was my normal csm rhino. The csms get ripped up by a grey hunter squad and the rune priest. My plagues though finish of the long fangs they have been fighting. They moved up towards the grey hunters and the rune priest this is where the epic combat begins.
It took 4 full combats, the grey hunters survived with one left, the plagues had 4 alive. But the tieing hit was on the last turn with a power fist to the rune priest face. I bet Law or Slapnuts could do a lot better at describing this later.
Basically the game was 5-4 me in Mazzy's last assault (he went second). His nurgle dudes were kind of whiffing until George Michael Powerfist III (that's his new name) decided to split his last two attacks on the Rune Priest and 1 remaining Grey Hunter.
He swings and whiffs on the Grey Hunter. Beads of sweat form on Mazzy's head. He winds up and throws a punch at the RP and hits him square in the dick causing him to explode.
True story.
I'm just thankful that other shot didn't land or Mazzy would have won the game.
All in all it was a great game. It's always cool when shot like that happens. Makes everything very exciting.

Smurfy is kind of a vassal freak. He knows the thing in and out. That and he is on every time I have logged on. I think we just set up our game in vassal pms at one point.

So Dawn of War/Annihilation put Sharp and I in a game where most of the Close Combat happened in the first 3 Rounds -- good times.
Sharp went first, and all of his units came on. Using the terrain to his advantage, he used his drop pod to cut off a unit of Grey Hunters, Rhino and Rune Priest -- which he promptly surrounded with a pretty much every unit he had, leaving a Predator on his edge to deal with a unit of my scouts that were stalking his scouts and a Thunderfire Cannon. The rune priest's unit took a shoot from everything he had a managed to only lose two dudes. The scouts were in cover, and managed to take shots from the Pred, TF Cannon and a bunch of heavy weapons without taking a loss.
On my turn, all of my units came on. DoW deployment neutralized my long fangs right off the bat. So my second unit of grey hunters tried to come to the Rune Priest's aid. I had about as much luck shooting my Grey Hunters and Rune Priest as Sharp did. While my Scouts (did I mention one had a melta gun and they all had melta bombs?) switched direction to deal with the Predator. I got a double tap melta shot off on the Pred with a Crew shaken result. Good times. Then it was off to CC.
The pred took 7 melta bomb hits from the Scouts, of which 6 were Pens. Of which, one blew the pred up. Three scouts died to make that kill point happen.
Up top, the Rune Priest's crew charged the drop pod marines and ended up locked in CC until Turn 4 when they were completely wiped out. The only other thing of note is that Sharp got his Master of the Forge and another unit of marines into CC with that unit. For Space Wolves, the CC was pretty bad. I did a lot of whiffing, but made a lot of armor saves, so that CC was ridiculously long. The only thing that was landing were the Power Fists which slowly whittled me down.
On Sharp's next turn (Turn 2 at this point), he used his speeder to get some distance on the scouts and between that, the thunderfire cannon and some heavy weapons, the scout squad was whittled down to one melta guy.
On my next turn I moved the scout to doubletap melta the Speeder while the Long Fangs started shooting at the Drop Pod and a Razorback moving up the flank. The lone scout was not able to take out the speeder with either the melta gun or his melta bombs -- and was killed by a plasma shot the next round. Fast forward to turn 4 where I blew up the drop pod with my long fangs.
Fast forward to turn 5 when Sharp started to move again after the mess of Close Combat ended. At this point he was up 4-2 having killed the scouts, rhino, rune priest and grey hunters, while I had the pred and drop pod under my blet. He started his "tactical retreat" wherein he tried to move all of his units behind a wall so that I had to chase him with either my long fangs or remaining Grey Hunters. He also tried to tank shock the long fangs with the razorback. He missed, and my Squad Leader (did I mention he had a melta bomb?) ended up Wrecking the razorback on a pretty epic Death or Glory.
The long fangs continued to shoot at the retreating marines and managed a few kills on both squads -- whittling the squad the MOF was in down to 1 dude and the MOF.
On turn 6, my only chance was when my 2 Heavy Bolters had LOS to the MOF and one remaining marine and scored three hits. Sharp had to get tricky with his wound allocation, deciding that he'd take 2 on the MOF and 1 on the regular dude -- potentially winning the game for me if everything went unsaved. Alas, he saved everything and the game ended, mercifully, 4-3 in Sharp's favor. THE ARISTOCRATS!
Overall it was a great game. Lots of strategery and hilarious side comments from Lawinator. Good game Sharp!

You can see why I had to do my "Tactical Retreat" I only had a few more guys when I was up near the pod/razorback. To advance would have been death.
I was trying to lure his rhino around and down the middle lane so my Thunderfire Cannon could get him. I think it was on to me though :P
