The new DC movies aren't connected to the DC Animated Universe in any way except being done by many of the same writers and animators, but some of them are really good. In rough order I'd suggest checking out
Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
Batman: Under the Red Hood
Superman/Batman: Public Enemies
Justice League: New Frontier
Green Lantern: First Flight
Wonder Woman
Superman: Doomsday
and the recently released Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is supposed to be pretty good.

I've actually heard that Apocalypse was a mediocre movie based on a terrible comic. I mean, Jeph Loeb.

Jeph Loeb is awful but it's not like he wrote the screenplay. Public Enemies was also based on a story he did but was actually pretty fun.
So, Lauren Faust (worked on PowerPuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends--I guess she's actually married to the guy who started those shows) just started a new My Little Pony show on Hub (used to be Discovery Kids) and it is faaaaantastic.
Yeah, I see you giving me those o_O looks, but seriously, if you liked PowerPuff Girls you should take a look. Nice animation (reminiscent of PPG) and kind of a D&D-ish feel. (Starts with a creation myth, ends with a goddess of darkness laughing evilly about how she's going to destroy the sun.)
Haha, that's awesome. It actually looks pretty good.
I will watch the hell out of it. I do not even care what anyone thinks.
Uh. Looks good. If it was linked I'd click it or if I saw it on TV I wouldn't change the channel.
I'd like to gush and jump up and down and squeal and discuss who's everyone's favorite pony so far. but like omg i like all of them they're all so totally awesome like omg

Now I am just crossing my fingers this cartoon gets accepted by the core demographic, even if it doesn't have anorexic super-sorceress-princess-teens in spandex that have princely boyfriends.
Because, seriously, I could watch this with my little cousin and not want to chew my arm off. There was pretty much nothing in there that made me cringe or roll my eyes.
A bit saccharine overall, but nothing insulting or moronic. Good VA work as well.
I liked Batman Beyond better than TAS. Largely because Bruce as an old man was the best character in existence.
And Return of the Joker was Fantastic.
So many great old man Bruce moments in Beyond.
"Who do you think you're talking to old man, we're the jokerz"
"Sure you are" Old man kicks a bunch of ass

The best though,
"How were you sure you weren't crazy?"
"The voice called me Bruce. Thats not what I call myself in my head."

Oh my dear lord yes. Fantastic stuff, and it's what made Super/Bats team-ups cool again.
Jragghen, you'll hit that one on the Superman set.
Like par for the course ridiculous or extra ridiculous?

There are also no lips.
It is literally a mouth hole with vague "teeth" behind it.
I honestly have no idea what they were thinking here
Not extra, but it has its own special brand in my opinion.

This is the first good show for girls in ages. The writing is solid. The animation better.

Ooooh, I like her. She has a real Maleficent-vibe going on, but in Pony-form.

They have subtitled episodes of Sonic X for god's sake. I never though I'd see it in it's original form as long as 4Kids held the rights.
