Honestly at least 70% of my enjoyment from raiding is the social aspect. This time it'll be with a different group of people but judging from those two days of ICC and milkglass it'll be pretty damn fun.

The 10M can get pretty serious when we're on bleeding edge content, but yeah, most of the time that's not happening and it's just Mirren groaning that he has to explain bosses every week. Explaining the fights to someone who hasn't done it might be the worst part of raiding
Oh yeah, being serious is fine and all but I've yet to be in a guild that couldn't get a few laughs in even during progression content. And generally those laughs are the best of all.
Really the 25 man dying out was for the best. Having to keep that up while working on heroic Putricide/Sindragosa I probably would have killed one of you.
I like to imagine that fun 25-man content is possible, but I haven't ever encountered it.
Oh, it was a blast. Much more fun in a social sense, since half of the group had no idea what they were doing, so aspirations for serious progression never got very high. It was just juggling that plus the ten man and you'd quickly end up looking forward to your weekend off from Icecrown

I'm an incredible raider
everyone looks up to me on account of my focus and skill

25-mans for me have always been such a disorganized headache that there was no room for social enjoyment. I don't see how bleeding edge content and having fun/cracking jokes are mutually exclusive. Of course you don't want to be yammering on in the middle of a boss, but there is plenty of time in other spots.
Oh man, cata is going to drop in 1.5 hours... then I'm going to go to sleep, then go to chem lab until 3pm after I wake up, then continue leveling in the outlands :?

I quit WoW for a year until like last week, I can manage my time if I have to.
Before WoW I'd probably go through 150 bucks a month worth of crappy novels.
If it wasn't WoW I would be doing something else to waste time.
I am just going to avoid hardcore raiding this time around, because that shit is too draining and demanding.
...again. never letting myself raid five days a week again
From BC till I quit.
Never again.
but I can't make a goblin! or talk in /g as Fandy, someone repromote my butt
Which is 2 hours from now.
well whatever the downloader jumped back from letting me play to not letting me play so ain't a thing

This so much.
At a few certain points I even raided 6 nights a week.
Fuck that.
But I see what you are saying, I don't know if it is possible to make 25-man content continue to be fun after the first couple of times.

I also liked teasing Eagle the next day.
