honestly i feel like the anime thread could only work again if several people disassociated from it. it's a shame reading that forum how many people are being totally reasonable and kind of lack this convenient, central location to discuss one of their favorite things... it's only a few people who make it look like a realm of comical absurdity.

Yeah. My thoughts exactly. I don't watch anime much at all, but these forums are the only forums that I frequent. It sucks the option for me to discuss anime isn't there.
But, from what it seems like, it's a good thing. Apparently people don't understand there is a line that cannot be crossed.
Then again, I find a lot of Anime fans kinda creepy. Like <redacted> dad in <redacted> who was obsessed with <redacted>. Totally creepy, and the series made fun of it a lot.
So we get stiff once in a while. So we have a little fun. What’s wrong with that? This is a free country, isn’t it? I can take my panda any place I want to. And if I wanna buy it a drink, that’s my business.
I was flying around in my Cruiser PEWPEWPEWing at Klingons before coming in to work myself. I like that you can get rid of the astronomical whatchawhosits when you are in sector space.

I will say this is -probably- why the word clique gets thrown around
oh hell yes. would you like me to hook you up with a trial code?
No, Steam had JC2 for sale for $7.99 and I'm a fucking sucker for that price point, then I figured I'd get STO and didn't realize I got the digital deluxe version. The upside is I will be screaming "KHAN!" like a mother fucker.

I have heard it was boring and repetitive. might take a look at the demo again
well
mazzy, earlier in this thread, said "It's sort of boring and repetitive. I quit playing after 91 hours."
which, you know
as a guy who mostly plays single-player games, 91 hours sure sounds pretty good to me. I don't really get the metric by which people critique MMOs for not holding their attention ten times as long as any single-player game would ever be expected to.
I spent all of ten bucks on STO. If I play it and have fun for a month, that to me is good value.
Poor impulse control. And I played a fairly important role in getting two sales done, one for a major school district and the other was sold by a salesguy at a competitor whom I loathe. So I figured I earned it. Also, the final pieces are coming into place for my anniversary trip.

If 10% of the mmo's playerbase isn't poopsocking it's considered a failure

With flaming locks of auburn hair. I mean Dolly Parton was attractive but Jolene was a redhead.
