Also, now I have to figure out how to hook up a 360 controller to my PC. Anyone have any advice? I'm assuming step one is to acquire a 360 controller, step two is to get a USB cable for it, and step three involves magic.
I think you forgot "?" and "profit", but you have the gist of it. I have the impression that wired 360 controllers essentially work out of the box. The magic involved in a ps3 controller is a bit more complicated than "plug it in" but not by much.
Some of this stuff isn't available in my region. Could someone tell me what the discounts are on Fallout 3, Lego Batman and the guy in the helmet next to the FEAR pack? I think that's F1. Still, lemme know. Thanks.
Fallout 3 GOTY is $20.09 (33%), Lego Batman is $4.99 (75%), and F1 2010 is $19.99 (50%).

I am waiting for Super Meat Boy to download, then I will play it. Then play Deus Ex for the first time.
Fallout 3 is 33%, to $20
F1 is 50% to $20
Lego Batman is 75% to $5
there are some drivers you will have to download. Though Windows 7 may come with them out of the box. But apart form that the wired controller works fine.

Windows 7 automagically recognizes the wired 360 controller. You simply plug it into a USB port and about 30 seconds later you're all set.
Previous versions of Windows require a separate driver download from Microsoft, but I think even Windows XP will recognize a 360 controller once you have the drivers. It may even prompt you to download the drivers as part of the hardware recognition/installation process.

Also, I apparently need to hang out in here more, Because I didn't know that people actually gifted shit to each other. Now I can buy the 10 packs and shit because I have actual people to use em.
thank god the steam store broke for me, no money out of my pocket
for now
seriously. I'm trying really hard to save for an awesome gift for my wife but Steam has to go and be a dick. Besides, I hardly have time to play the games I already own.
Oh god. Can someone tell me how much Bad Company 2 and the Vietnam expansion would cost in the US?
$21.78.
My thanks. Trying real hard to resist my friends getting this stuff. Seems that US is some 40% less than Euroland here as well.

So... would buying stuff from your wishlist crap up your entry in the drawing that requires 10 games on your wishlist?
I just picked up BC2 and F1 and went down to eight and when I went to the treasure hunt page, just to make sure, it had a red flag and "You need 10 games on your wishlist to qualify!". So I added two more just to be sure.

You can also add a bunch of upcoming games to your wishlist, even those that don't yet have prices or release dates (like Portal 2, Space Marine, etc.)

Yeah I'm only picking stuff up I know will not be on Dailies. Example, sniper elite, PM Winterbottom and stuff that's a few years old now.
i doubt it.
I stopped adding people once I realized I had like 100 people on it.

Haha, you're seriously too good man.
Thanks!
god I love steam
Fright Pack
The Void is worth the price of entry by itself
I'd have bought it for myself but I already have FEAR 1 and all the expansions. Seemed a waste really. :^:
I do love the first two Oddworld games just in case.
You can also add a bunch of upcoming games to your wishlist, even those that don't yet have prices or release dates (like Portal 2, Space Marine, etc.)
I may just buy them all.
Fate of Atlantis + Last Crusade + Loom + The Dig
Indy and the Fate of Atlantis is worth it, but I'm sure the other games are great too!
