Who says paragons don't like Zaeed? I almost exclusively play paragon and I think he's definitely the most interesting human character. And he's killed plenty of Cerberus operatives over the years, so that's like extra credit.
I do like how ME2 made every class have it's own unique flavor and play style. Soldiers playing like Max Payne while Sentinels are Iron Man, for example.
Hey crazy Mass Effect people and Batarian meme running in to ground peeps!
So buying the on sale DLC stuff for ME2 right now and while I am at it should I get the weapon/armor packs too? I play nothing but Infiltrator.
the DLC isnt on sale for me.
and even if i was so inclined to buy DLC, which I'm not cause I think its an abominable practice, I wouldnt trust the bioware site with my valuable payment information considering I cant click on anything without having to log in 20-30 times.
Zaeed should star in his own ultra-violent spinoff shooter.
I'd like to see a Battlefront style game with your companionst instead of different trooper types. Use Kasumi to hack security, switch to Garrus for sniping, then become Samara to clear the room while your co-op team mate blasts away as Zaeed. And the poor fuck stuck as Kaidan gets team killed. Again.
Zaeed should star in his own ultra-violent spinoff shooter.
I would play the shit out of this game.
I liked Zaeed, but I didn't like how every time I went to speak to him on the ship, he'd just be rude with me, and that would be the end of it. I then realised this was because he was DLC, and not a real person.
I bought ME1 on the pc recently, as my original playthrough was on the 360, and I want a saved game to play through ME2 again with. I quit out of the game as soon as I saw the resolution of the character in the creation screen. I don't remember it being that bad! I'm having a search for mods or something, because that was terrible.
cap Zaeed right in the fucking head during your loyalty mission with him. I get that Paragon Shepard is a highly principled and ethical soldier, but there should still be a "shoot the mad dog" moment for the Paragon players too.
He'd be emotionally distant and brusque, sure, but one day I'd get beaten up by bullies and he'd show me how to fight like a real man and we'd bond over that! And then we'd have ice cream together and be the only survivors.

My wife was in Labor, I rushed to the Hospital as fast as I could.
Heh. The guy from ME1's market is still trying to get his money back in 2 - and has apparently been fighting for 2 years for his refund! I admit, that made me downright crack up when I overheard. I love these little references :P.

The couple that asked a complete random stranger on the presidium in ME1 whether or not they should have an abortion shop up too I think. Talking about some kind of medicine for a baby, implying she's a hypochondriac or overprotective mother or something.

They were not talking about abortion, and they were not a couple.
Her husband, his brother died of a heart condition so she was left alone.
There is a chance the baby could be born with the same condition.
The brother in law, the babies Uncle, wants the woman to get in-utero gene therapy to correct the issue
The woman, the babies Mother, is afraid of sideeffects she read about on the extra-net.
Its basically the autism/vaccine argument, IN THE FUTURE, IN SPACE
Uh, Dox, why did you feel like a terrible person when you posted all of that fan art?
That was different

So the announcement of Mass Effect 3 convinced me to go through all the ME2 DLC (when I first played the game I had bandwidth limits) and I just finished Overlord last night.
And by last night I mean 12:30am because I lost track of time and oh god I couldn't go Renegade, I just couldn't

I think this needs to be an option for most squadmates. ME1 had such a moment, why not allow the player to take out anyone who he or she feels might compromise the mission? Maybe some characters actually could compromise the mission.

I completed my ME1 playthrough and went straight into ME2. Hot damn, I'm only little over an hour into the game and so far pretty much everything is better than ME1.
I have to disagree. I miss the bulkier, more reliable feeling of cover in 1. I miss the Mako. And the ammo annoys me - not being able to use my shotgun because it has 12-16 bullets and each ammo pack only gives 2 is really bothersome, I'm being forced to beat the game almost completely with the submachine gun and the heavy pistol. And I miss many of the crewmates.
On the other hand, 2 does have Charge as a power, which is a serious point in its favour. And companions that don't die to a stiff breeze and actually contribute, which does help the ammo thing - I tend to let my partners finish people off to save ammo, since they don't have ammo limits apparently.
if you're a vanguard and you're using the pistol or SMG more than 10% of the time you're doing it wrong

There were already people that couldn't handle the extreme complexity of making squad members loyal and got the worst possible ending without trying to.
Imagine if it was even harder than that.

Did people actually have a hard time with the loyalty missions?
I mean really, what is there to not understand? After mission _______, you talk to any of them and they say "hey can we go to ______ pretty please?"
So I heard DLC was on sale and got all excited, but I guess thats only for Xbox? The PC DLC doesn't look like it got any love.
I'd like to play the DLC honest, but having to buy points to buy DLC? And then I can't spend all the points so I'm going to waste money in the deal? Seriously?

This may be a complex idea, but imagine if the game was so deep that you could make real choices, and these choices mattered. Imagine that even if Shepard was the hope of the galaxy, people could still have core beliefs and ethics that a quick conversation didn't change.
Imagine,
If after you ruined Zaeed's best chance at revenge in 20 years, he shot you in the back as soon as you were done beating him into submission.
Imagine if Jack just snapped and tore the ship to pieces if you didn't let her kill the dude you found in the labs.
Imagine if people didn't neatly resolve deep personal trauma in a 30 minute mission.
Imagine if it was impossible to make everyone happy with a quick conversation option, and you had to pick and choose which specialists you wanted at your back, and which specialists you were going to bury along the way. It would be almost like dealing with a wide variety of people with conflicting desires and morals, and a developer having the quads to fully realize that to the point where they presented you with a no-win scenario.
Like when
Jack pulls a gun on Miranda. You can talk that down? You just trust that she won't go psycho at some other critical moment? Really? You don't just pop a round in her head then and there? She pulled a gun on the second in command on the mission.
Shepard has MAGIC POWERS, forget the Reaper's indoctrination, Shepard's genitals clearly radiate some sort of magic mind control lust-power.
So I heard DLC was on sale and got all excited, but I guess thats only for Xbox? The PC DLC doesn't look like it got any love.

Bioware did some market research and realized that they're the only people making good non-First Person RPGs these days.

It's weird, but you don't have to purchase extra points. I forget the exact process, but sometimes it'll let you buy just enough points to cover the DLC; and sometimes it tries to make you buy in packs.
I remember it confusing the hell out of me the last time I tried to deal with it.

As much as I love Bioware, this sentence is just wrong.
Having a four hour therapy session, with full dialogue, is not my idea of fun...or a game.
I wasn't arguing that you should have a therapist couch in your room (although a casting couch would make sense for Shepard, that horny dog) but rather that you have some paragon or renegade squad members actually follow their core beliefs to the logical conclusion.
Like if you start killing unarmed people, Jacob Garrus and Tali flip a shit. If you sacrifice tactical advantage to retain the moral high ground, Zaeed Miranda and Jack start sharpening their knives.
I want Renegade Shepard to be killed by Samara at the end, and Paragon Shepard to be killed by TIM. No fancy fight or speech, just a shot in the back of the head with a sniper rifle.
Mostly because, by the end of Dragon Age: Origins, and Mass Effect 2, I have a maximum party size that is significantly smaller than my total number of available squad-mates.
So, for example, Leliana stayed in camp, [strike]stripped to her underwear[/strike], I mean, er...
In general, hiring mercenaries to help you save the world should result in a dysfunctional team.
The major issue is this: the more complex the developers make a system (intra-party agendas, say), the more opportunities there are for the player, or even emergent gameplay, to completely wreck things. In addition, take the suicide mission. If the player is able to, as you succinctly put it, bury the mercenaries who don't click with the team, then Bioware is faced with a major problem: if the player can start killing supposed allies, are they able to kill their way into a position where the suicide mission is impossible?

1. is goddamn necessary on synth-heavy missions
2. uses sniper rifles AND assault rifles
3. has +50% damage boost

So I grabbed this up for pc, because it was a tenner.
What mods are worth picking up? Preferably easy to install for someone lacking tech savy.

I agree. ME2 has a really big focus on your squadmates as it is, I don't think I'd enjoy having it take up even more of the game.
Edit: Oh I see what Robman means now. That would be pretty cool.
Then credits.
