Dread just seems kind of clumsy to me. I see the reasoning behind it, and the idea is fun, but I don't think there is anything meaty enough there to bother with it in practise.
Well sure when you cut away a lot of the number crunching elements of an RPG you're going to get something that's a lot lighter and fluffier to play. The trade off is that you can get into a game much quicker, and the tone of the game is a lot different. Your character is easier to kill, and as the tension builds in the game the player actually feels it. It's a much more immersive experience.
So I guess it's not as meaty? That's not exactly a bad thing in this case. I guess it depends on why you play, and what you enjoy about playing.
which is the exact fucking same thing, only for source
I liked dust better than dust2. Especially before they put in those fucking riot shields. Man CS was a great fucking game. CoD was pretty good too. Wonder what happened to CAL-O and all that shit, looks like they stopped doing it?

I still prefer Dread over D&D. It focuses on my favourite parts of an RPG. And the pacing isn't ever punctuated by someone consulting the rulebook or comparing dice rolls.

I've only played CS like once during a LAN and I bitched about it incessantly. It was my understanding that Quake or Unreal would be the games of choice but one of the guys had a bitch computer so we were stuck with CS.
Due to other reasons I was banned from attending that LAN group again.

There's the Abyssus if we stick to Razer mice. Not as many buttons, but price is £32.
Other than that Logitech are usually quite cheap.
