I also had an ass cyst when I was a kid, that was not pleasant
And I was once stuck outside in far below zero temperatures for hours and when I got back indoors my hands nearly exploded from the pain of re-establishing body heat
Apparently I was lucky not to have gotten actual frost bite which is just evidence that as a child I was not smart

A magician gives you a ring that, when worn, will let you see the world as it truly is.
However, the ring will never leave your finger, and you will be unable to ever describe to another living person what you see.
No but I did venture out knowing full well that I (a) needed a house key and (b) needed, I don't know, gloves
As I said, not smart
Well. Not being smart is how you learn as a kid

This one time I had no serious injuries or medical issues.
It didn't hurt at all.
I can fix that for ya...

Generally I'm fine with needles, but the spinal tap left me a three-day migraine and the penecillin shot I got at boot felt like taking a bullet in the ass cheek

When I had the biopsy done of my thyroid, they first put in a little local anesthetic to numb the area before they put the big damn needle in.
Problem is, it only really numbed the surface and when the big needle got past the top few layers of skin and down into my neck, it hurt like a motherfucker. And once it was in, they had to pull back on the syringe to pull the biopsy out, which hurt even more.
then after they throw you like 2 napkins and ask you to clean up
thanks doc, can I have some dignity back?

Here's one that I get to do quite often... be advised this is SFW and there's no gore, but some people might be a little leery because it's drilling a needle into your bone.
I present, the EZ IO Intraosseous Access Drill. This is the exact model we carry on the trucks.

Man, those catheter needles don't hurt at all - the ones that go in your vein.
You haven't lived until you've used one to lance a sebaceous cyst in your earlobe with no freezing.
There's nothing quite like the pressure in a sebaceous cyst in a confined area, or the pain it wreaks when you try and put a thing in it to pop it.

THANKS MOM FOR YOUR WONDERFUL GENES THAT GIVE ME ALL THESE CYSTS.
I also got a cyst on like...my jawline and one on my chest just below my neck. The doctor didn't numb me for either of those, just got a scalpel and went to town. Hurrah.

My mom is really good at giving injections. Does them overhand, like a dart.
I always get injections at home, so it's kind of unnerving coming home to a parent holding a syringe with your name on it, but I got used to it after the third or fourth time.
