Why is Freefall hanging out there too? Why is just Thing there, and wearing blue shorts when I thought they all had white outfits now?
That's Sharon Carter in the white jumpsuit, and Protector (Noh-Varr) and Dr. Strange.
I don't know who Freefall is, but Thing has been an Avenger for like a year.
I can't look at it and comment, but I see Jarvis, Maria Hill, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Wolverine, Thing, Sharon Carter, Thor, Ms. Marvel, Iron Man, Victoria Hand, Red Hulk, Steve Rogers, Spidey, Protector, and Dr. Strange. All relatively familiar faces from the last two years.
I like how that page is essentially friendly to someone who hasn't read a single issue of Marvel since Siege. That could sound snarky, but I honestly do have a soft spot for event comics, and it's best filled when you can go from big event to big event without needing a ton of fill-in.
It seriously looks like something that could be happening just a couple weeks after the Siege.
The only major complaints are a worry that the two storylines(The high concept Thor-driven plot and the street-level emotional Captain America driven plot) won't mesh well in future issues and that the Cap storyline might get a little too schmaltzy.
I loved it. The Captain America bits were a little heavy handed but nowhere near Civil War or the ASM 9/11 issue bad. Steves reaction to the whole thing was wonderful as well. The Thor bits were wonderful. Fraction's Odin is such a grumpy old bastard its great.
Sin, or is it Skadi now, is suitably crazy and the new big villain is interesting enough to make me want to know more.

Having a riot take place at Ground Zero was too much for me, as was everyone thinking a super-villain may've caused it.
The Thor bits were good, though. Odin's insecurity and arrogant treatment of Thor should lead to some pretty good moments later on, and I especially enjoyed Odin's exchange with the Watcher.

I was disappointed, and probably won't pick up issue #2. But the art was stellar, great coloring too, and the packaging and story content was good for the price. It just felt rather generic in every area except Sin's story, which was the highlight of the issue.

The Ground Zero stuff was forced. And it's kind of weird seeing Steve just sit there now when he was such a rebellious young whippersnapper during Civil War.
The scene where the heroes are at Stark Tower literally looking down at the city and the people with a disappointed mom look was overdone, and Stark seemed off in his talk to the team.
And the final page, the gods leave us seemingly every other week, who cares at this point? And why do all the asgardians follow him? The Warriors Three should just chill out because they come down here every Friday for bingo night anyway. If this comes down to them all coming back in the 11th hour to help us because we puny mortals stood up to gods or something, I feel like I've read it all before.
Steve seems less like a key point but more the guy who just happens to be at the center of every scene (and drawn that way too). People are rioting, so let's go to Steve's reaction! Steve's bummed about the riots, star swipe to him being sad it's not a villain who caused it! Gods leave earth again, cut to Steve's face in camera 3 now! It's less Steve having anything to do but just be the center, and if it keeps up that way, it just seems a clunky way to carry the story.
And it seems like Odin has been watching Aqua Teen Hunger Force because he called the Watcher a titanic dumb mute baby, which seemed similar to big gay baby.

Actually, I think the intent was to show that the superheroes are out of touch. The assumption shows that they're so tuned in with their corner of the world that they've forgotten how normal people think and behave.
But there hasn't been a riot at Ground Zero yet, so it's not an accurate portrayal of normal people either. Instead, they inserted violence into an actual news story just so they could somehow justify having their superhuman characters comment on it, even though they should be above debates about community centers.
I have a feeling that any future references to the recession will be just as awkward.
On the subject of the Asgardian exodus, though, I thought it worked only because it's less of a desertion than a retreat. There's an undercurrent of fear throughout Odin's dialogue, and by the end I was pretty sure that his temper tantrum was just an act to disguise his true motives. I'm sure he does actually resent Thor's stubbornness and affinity for mankind, but I also think Odin decided to drag Thor to Asgard because he was afraid Thor would be killed if he stayed on Earth. Thanks to those elements, I thought the Thor segments were pretty interesting.
That said, I'm sure anyone who normally reads Thor is tired of the gods facing an apocalypse every few months or so. It was only a few years ago that all the gods were killed, wasn't it?

Sin's personality seemed to have merged with Skadi. She clearly referred to herself as Sin and Red Skull as well as Skadi. Her transition was likely easier since she was totally in to it. I doubt Hulk or Juggernaut would be as smooth.
but it's hard to dislike anything drawn by Immonen. I didn't find the Ground Zero stuff too heavy handed or forced, like Blank I kinda took it at face value. Plus I think that whole scene was just meant to help set the tone for the Event. Stressed, scared citizens pushed to the brink and the fallout from said recurring events.
And I loved Odins reaction to the Watcher, kinda reminds me of how Spider-man always wigs out whenever the Watcher rocks up, except Odin's a bad-mutha all-fatha, so he yelled at a cosmic entity.
And I know they won't mention it, but I hope those dragons Sin fights are the same dragons from "Avengers VS Pet Avengers". Let it be so.
