Played Wrath of Ashardalon last night, it was pretty fun
We somehow managed to pull the dragon out of the chamber deck and got beat up by him, though we spent the first half of the game getting slapped around by the encounter deck so we had burned a lot of daily/utility powers
In spite of this, we did 7 damage to him before we got beat, though I'm not sure how you're supposed to beat him since he'll be tossing out a guaranteed flame breath every round with 4-5 players
The Ravenloft big villains look even worse than the dragon, too
I used to play heroclix every week at a local game shop, it was rad
it's actually a really fun game, especially now that they've expanded character powers past a set number of colored boxes and introduced stuff like juggernaut being able to just run through walls and have his super helmet until someone pries it off

Buh, I've spent a few hours today creating a map with open source tile sets.
I've never DM'ed before, but I'm planning on creating an original campaign.
Though this is a lot of work, I can see why dudes do it.

also a professor xavier that can use mind control and psychic attacks from the starting area as long as like, an x-man is within range of the target

So I'm starting a campaign with some college buddies of mine where I'm going to be the DM. We sat down and agreed the campaign would revolve around the exploits of a traveling group of minstrels getting into wacky adventures. I'm going to run it as a super campy and fantasy based adventure while also stealing everything I can from music for inspiration.
They will engage in battle with the dreaded Lord Victor Von Halen.

We sat down and agreed the campaign would revolve around the exploits of a traveling group of minstrels getting into wacky adventures. I'm going to run it as a super campy and fantasy based adventure while also stealing everything I can from music for inspiration.
They will engage in battle with the dreaded Lord Victor Von Halen.
It better not interfere with our quality time where your group of werewolves fail to accomplish anything meaningful yet still manage to massacre a room full of children.

Nah, dragon is the biggest baddest around. Strahd gives a run for the money but the dracolich is a punk in comparison.

well there's hcrealms.com, but you have to register to view their units page (special abilities are pretty specific to individual characters and figures)
I picked up Death Angel a few days ago. I feel like I'm just now getting the hang of the rules. I think the rules could have been better written, but I really like the complexity in the tiny box.

Used to play with a group that did this pretty regularly. That and Arkham Asylum.
Good times, but it does take a good chunk of time to play.
