So I'm starting a campaign with some college buddies of mine where I'm going to be the DM. We sat down and agreed the campaign would revolve around the exploits of a traveling group of minstrels getting into wacky adventures. I'm going to run it as a super campy and fantasy based adventure while also stealing everything I can from music for inspiration.
They will engage in battle with the dreaded Lord Victor Von Halen.
That sounds pretty cool!
Should have music queued up to go along with it

That is the plan and the music will change on the genre of the adventure. I think I am going to use Cajun funk for when they encounter aberrations and horror-inducing monsters.
I picked up Death Angel a few days ago. I feel like I'm just now getting the hang of the rules. I think the rules could have been better written, but I really like the complexity in the tiny box.
You might want to visit the FFG forum for the FAQ/Errata type thread they have, cleared up a lot of confusion for me.
I played it a bunch with 2-3 people, some abilities are definitely way better then others. The game itself is fun though, mostly in how random you either become heroic or get messed up.
The combo of "nerdy game theme" + "intricate rules" makes it a tough choice to introduce to many tables.
I find you have to maintain a certain low humidity and temperature for good priming. Just not too low though.
But sometimes the primer is just shitty and doesn't want to work for you.

All of the above plus you might need to wash your miniatures with soap and warm water (scrubbing with a toothbrush helps) to remove any mold release residue.
So Ten is gonna start an Eberron campaign and im making my character
thinking so far:
Warforged Artificer
Tinkerer artificer on my way to the clockwork engineer path
mainly my battle plan will be buffing everyone and using servant constructs and healing a little bit, but not primarily, would rather do offensive support. I've never been much of a caster before, but with 4.0 everyone is a fucking caster anyways. it seems like a total shame to be using a wand when Warforged have such cool embedded weapons though.
really wanna get a Delvers light and an inquisitive kit for RP purposes mainly, thinking of going sort of sherlock holmes/tony starky. But other than that I'm not sure yet for character history/personality.

Soooooo jealous. This I what I wanted to choose but the DM for my current game wasn't down with it. Had to be human, elf or shifter.
I've been super bummed since my Call of Cthulhu group disbanded. I was DMing games every week for over a year, and then everyone ended up having the worst timing for school and work priorities. I'm going to be a really happy camper when we are able to start playing again.

You fuck wit' Die Antwoord, you fuck wit' da army.
Tried Death Angel last night, it seems fun, but god damn we rolled fucking shitty. I think every genestealer attack but like...2 killed people. Over 2 games, that is.
Oh man, now I'm missing the days I used to spend playing Dark Heresy with my brother DMing. This thread is putting me on a sad trip. If I didn't have the occasional board game night, I think I would seriously be depressed.

Genestealers are supposed to kill you, I think.
Also I think I might try to get a game of something going tonight....

Tempted to run an online dnd game for y'all as soon as I have time
Pokemon have their breed as their [Major], and [Minors] can relate to personality, physique, or type. The final [Minor] must still be negative, and notes the flaw in their nature.
Special is replaced by... Bond(?) and allows for the trainer to push his pokemon in new ways, get it to perform new moves, heal it, or grant it beneficial Temporary Traits. The Bond is part of the Pokemon, not part of the Trainer, so each Pokemon would have a different Bond level.

Well, yeah that is weird, unless you are priming shitty models.
Is the primer coat not even? What's the shittiness you are experiencing?
Also, what are you using as a primer?
is it going on too thick?
But sometimes the primer is just shitty and doesn't want to work for you.
That shit can ruin an otherwise good primer coat.

I have seriously never had a character with a wand before
Source.

That or a [100%] pokemon game
trainers are just like regular [100%] characters
pokemon have moves for their traits
and they have a nature instead of a negative?
I would have to tweak it a bit but I think it would be cool for a one shot
Getting a bit tired of writing mechanics. Might give drawing up a custom setting a try if I can decide on some mechanics to use for it.
