Also, if you've never seen Lucky Louie, you should watch that too. A typical family sit-com, filmed in front of a live audience, on HBO, with Louis CK, so yah it's pretty entertaining.

Louis CK is my favorite comedian and I'm pumped as hell about Louie coming back!
Hope he can keep it going for another few seasons at least, I could watch/listen to his brand of humor for years and be satisfied. Can't wait til "Hilarious" arrives from netflix.

It's the cinematic equivalent of a stand-up saying 'And ermmm' at the end of a gag. That annoys me.
Oh man I hate this so much. Once I notice a comedian doing it, I cannot un-notice it.
I saw Dara O'brien live, and he does it all the time. I genuinely found it difficult to enjoy the show because everytime he does a joke, he goes "Aaaaaahhhhhhh"
Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh. Seriously, if you haden't noticed it before, I just ruined Mock the Week and anything else he is in, for you.
It's supposed to go unnoticed, make you think that the Comedian has not finished his line and flatter the audience by making them think they understood the joke before they were supposed to. But it just pisses me off. I admire a Comedian who doesn't do this at all as it is a technique that gets used way too often.
On topic - I fucking loved the first Season of Louie. This is great news.

Best moments of season 1:
His date getting up in mid-conversation and boarding a helicopter to get out of the horrible situation
The whole sequence of Louis following the kid all the way home after he had his manhood challenged in the diner, only to end up sitting on the stoop reflecting on fatherhood with the punk's dad.
Also, if you've never seen Lucky Louie, you should watch that too. A typical family sit-com, filmed in front of a live audience, on HBO, with Louis CK, so yah it's pretty entertaining.
Gonna have to disagree here but mostly because Jim Norton (whom I love) is horrible on camera.
Holy crap. I just found out you can listen to stand up comedians on Pandora. It gave me Louis ck and patton oswalt one after another. I might have to get Pandora unlimited now.

Haha, yeah, I love Jim Norton, too, but he's a terrible actor (even he admits as much)
Not only is he completely uncomfortable in front of a camera, but he can't stop his eyes from doing that twitchy/blinky thing that he does, so it's just painful to watch him sometimes.
The most uncomfortable moments of Season 1 for me are when the bully is confronting him because it's not funny uncomfortable, it's just...pure uncomfortable and when he was hitting on the black girl at the supermarket. When he bought the flowers then tried to hand them to her, I almost had to turn it off. I was cringing in my seat the first time and every time after. Sooooooooo embarassing.
I loved when he was ripping on the girl that wouldn't shut up. "Oh, your mother's dead? Good, because it means she can't make any more cunts like you." That was hilarious.
The conversation about being gay around the poker table was great.
This isn't the funniest comedy on TV, but it might be my favorite.
Mines some dark, unexpected territory. Like the turn in the scene where he and his comedy friends are shootin' the shit over the word "faggot," or where he follows the bully home, or the whole God episode, which might have been my favorite half-hour of television from all last season.
Louis C.K.
Is there a plural form of diarrhea? Diarreahs? Or is it dias rreah? Like attorneys general?

Consensus: always singular. no plural. That's poetic. When you have diarrhea, it's part of the great infinite collective of diarrhea.

"MY FATHER FOUGHT THOSE NAZIS!"
Hey look! Some cunt is comin' outta some cunt's cunt!
So this really isn't related to Curb aside from this clip, or Louie.
But why is "cunt" considered such an awful not to be used to describe someone word, when we use these sorts of crude words all the time?
Like for example calling someone a "dick" or a "cock" or a (and this is what I've been leading up to with this) "pussy".
In the clip he could have called the guy a "pussy" and it would have gone over much better (if general social acceptance is an indicator) despite the fact that calling someone a "pussy" is way more misogynistic when used to describe someone showing cowardice or weakness.
It just always seemed weird to me that people call people "pussy" as a (very specific) insult all the time but "cunt" is off limits.

Can't wait for this one.
Man, I love Robert Kelly as a comedian, but he downright surprised me with how good he was in some of the scenes playing Louis' brother.

Ricky Gervais as Louie's doctor was one of my favorite things.

I'm pretty sure there is a Louis CK video for every question in life.
Yeah I tried watching that and had to turn it off. It was douche-a-rific
other times he comes across as too bitter i think
